Craig Gillgrass Filter Text Box... but I played around with this and have additional info... Turns out the control does work in a mobile browser when using the on screen keyboard. The issue is related to our use of a bluetooth keyboard (Zagg rugged keyboard/folio). There is plenty of postings on the web about a similar prob with messenger not sending when coupled with a bluetooth keyboard. A common answer was using cmd+return, because they were using it to toggle between a new-line/carriage return and a command send. Or some suggested that changing the keyboard type in the iOS settings would change how the return key was interpreted by the app. These changes had no effect on how the filter box ignores the bluetooth keyboard's enter key. Still its curious that we get a different result when using the remote desktop app to connect to a PC and open the browser vs opening the browser directly on the tablet. Hope that helps. Glen

Has anyone noticed that the assignment search control does not accept an enter when opened on a iPad using Chrome or Safari Mobile browsers? We can only get it to work if using remote desktop connection and use a desktop version of the browser.

rfindlay I see the same on an example assignment I created. This isn't a traditional html anchor so the href is unnecessary. It might be a version prob? I'm not sure when Explorer for ArcGIS enabled the custom URL Scheme... the github site says it is supported in the beta... might not be released yet. bpierce-esristaff Maybe you can answer this better? Thanks, Glen

Ross Findlay because the description field recognizes rich text on the mobile app any properly formatted URL string should be automatically recognized as a popup link. For instance an Explorer for ArcGIS link should look like the followng: arcgis-explorer://?itemID=2adf08a4a1a84834a773805a6e86f69e¢er=43.656789,-70.278083 The itemID is the ID for the map you wish to open and center is the location within the map to view. There is more documentation on this here: GitHub - Esri/explorer-integration: Multi Language repository that contains documentation and sample code for creating c… If you still have issues maybe post your URL string and we can take a look at why its not playing nicely. Glad to help if you need more. Glen

None of our workers are able to open the Workforce Project in the mobile app. The first occurrence was two days ago. We thought we had traced the issue back to a discrepancy between the ArcGIS Online named users available and the records in the Workers feature layer. There was a named user that had been deleted from the system that was still in the workers layer. We cleared the difference and after several tests the problem appeared to be resolved. This morning we find that the same error message is blocking our users from opening the project in the mobile app. There are no apparent differences in the users table vs online accounts. What else could we be missing? S.O.S... Help! Glen Craig Gillgrass Jeff Shaner James Tedrick

James Tedrick FYI... We think we ran into a small variant on the issue mentioned. In a repeater, the calendar control will initially have the current date grayed out. After a date is selected in the first record, the next repeat will have the previously selected date grayed out. This will continue for each subsequent record. Are you willing to share any hints on how far down in the backlog this is? Edit** Our current fix for this issue on DateTime questions (not in repeaters) is to add today() or now() as the field's default value. This ignores the controls deficiency by excepting the current date as selected. Its likely this is close to how the control was intended to be used. But it might not be a perfect solution for DateTime questions (inside of a repeater), if the user wants to persist the selected date for subsequent records.

I tried to uninstall Survey123Connect and the process was interrupted and quarantined by our Virus Protection software. Shouldn’t the uninstaller just be deleting files and registry settings? What is the uninstaller trying to encrypt?

This would be an awesome enhancement / instruction to include at the UC. "Integration of Dynamic Choice Lists in Survey123" sounds like an awesome breakout down in the vendor area... Just sayin. Thanks!

The column sort on our FeatureTable appears to be broken by batchCount. The ascending/descending sort order is correct until the table is scrolled far enough to make another request and then the sort order begins again on the next set of records. What are some of the possible causes/solutions?

One of our users came up with an enhancement request to provide the ability to share a survey between devices. The use case would be a field worker in an active construction site. During a an active operation it is essential for the user to be nimble. A smaller device is beneficial to get in and out of open trench and stay clear of equipment. Take a couple of photos, a voice memo, maybe a couple of checkboxes or radio buttons. Once clear of operations, the user would prefer a larger screen and possibly a keyboard to fill in larger notes and selection lists. The ability to push incomplete records to cloud and pull them back to any client or the ability to enable device to device sharing (AirDrop in iOS) on survey records might prove a valuable addition to the capabilities of Survey123.

We have noticed an increase in users reporting Survey Complete "Send Now" resulting in a indefinite spinning wheel. The only resolution we have come up with is to completely close out the application, restart, and send the completed survey found in the Outbox. Several of the users have said the last message before the hang is "getting service information". We think there may be a connection with low wireless signal as these users are in known poor signal locations. Anyone having similar issue?

I guess the answer here could be, "Depends on which platform you are running"... but we can confirm that Push notifications are working for the Workforce App on iOS. They can be turned on/off in Settings>Workforce.

Sounds to me like a "Super Worker" or "Crew Chief" type role is needed that could access both UI. We have been exploring similar needs for those workers the company deems capable of assigning/reassigning work for themselves and others. This role is distinguished from the typical worker that is just focused on his/her todo list. So far the only solution available to us is giving certain accounts both (work and dispatcher) roles. - Glen

First to answer the question... although we did not automate it, we were successful in altering the assignment types domain through the admin functions of the rest endpoint. In the most basic terms we updated the list by posting a json object representing the revised definition of the feature service. http://services1.arcgis.com/TZtYuVblaho4vFXF/arcgis/rest/admin/services/assignments_e9eda8505blah636a60a9c7197d46091/FeatureServer/0/updateDefinition Pick your favorite language that can hit the rest endpoint and go crazy with automation (not sure ESRI would recommend this exactly... but it is possible). Now 10,000 Assignment Types sounds like an awfully big domain to me, so... We took a different approach to a similar problem. We needed a way to associate our daily assignments with the larger construction project that the work is for. We choose to highjack the location field instead. We picked this field because it is searchable and visible on the header of the assignment in the todo list. We could get away with it because our assignments are not created in the dispatch website which sets the point geometry and location text in the same control. Instead we generated the records in other systems and add them to the assignment feature layer through the rest endpoint. http://services1.arcgis.com/TZtYuVblaho4vFXF/arcgis/rest/services/assignments_e9eda8505blah636a60a9c7197d46091/FeatureServer/0/addFeatures End result is the work can now filter for the data we shove into the location field (Project ID, Title, Drawing Set ID, etc). Hey! Craig Gillgrass - This sounds like another user that could use an expanded "custom" field to better categorize their assignments. Wink Wink Nudge Nudge. - Glen
