Hi Karen & Bethany, Designating Items In Legend Columns is an idea you may want to review and vote for concerning this topic Designating Items In Legend Columns Improving Legend usability in Pro is on our radar, unfortunately we've had other priorities. In the meantime I would recommend utilizing layout template with pre-authored layout files (Layout files—Layouts | Documentation ) and using the Save as Default option available on Legend items (Work with a legend item—Layouts | Documentation ) I know this is not the complete solution you are looking for, but it might help in the short term. Hi Marcel, Pause is meant to only pause the drawing of maps and scenes. If a Layout View is active, non-map elements will continue to draw. Please see the "Pause drawing" section in Maps—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation for more information. Were you working with the Layout View? When the "wheel" is spinning is the application frozen, or can you still interact with Pro and do things? Thanks, Tom

Hi Matt, Thanks for adding to this discussion. However, I believe you are seeing the same issue. Polygons always have a fill. When there is no color fill it just means the fill is 100% transparent. You should still be able to use the work-around described above. Thanks, Tom

Ryan, I'm glad you got it to work! You're doing important work. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help out with your map series. There are 2 ideas covering this on the Ideas Site that you may want to vote on or add additional information: https://community.esri.com/ideas/1219 Display related tables information (1-M relationships) on the layout while using data driven pages We do look at these as they help us prioritize work. Here is a related (excuse the pun) thread: Related Table Support in Data Driven Pages Tom

Hi Ryan, I'm not sure what is going on here. As far as I know, values from related fields is not supported with dynamic text unless you have discovered a unexpected workaround. My expectation would be that you can only use the "native" fields for dynamic text. I'm pretty sure this is true for Page Queries as well. My advice would be to add a field to "Polling Places" that contains the corresponding precinct name. That should remove the spatial component from the filter. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Adam, Thanks for the response, use case and screenshot examples. I believe what you're asking for is an option to make the labels orientation (read-direction) to be parallel with the map grid regardless of the grid line or the rotation of the map. We do have plans to address this, unfortunately we've had to work on other priorities and have not had time to get to this issue. I will add your comments to the issue which should help bump this issue up the priority list. Thanks, Tom

Hi Trevor, You may be interested in viewing a similar thread - ArcGIS Pro 2.4: Issues with exporting map series (clipped to index feature) to PDF . There is a known issue concerning the last layer in the draw order having transparency (BUG-000128447). Look to the bottom of the thread for an explanation and workaround. This is one scenario that we know of where clipping is not working as expected. If your scenario/draw order is not similar to that outlined above, please contact support at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi John, Currently, we are unaware of any specific issue with inserting Chart Frame into a page layout with 2.5. Have you contacted tech support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. In the meantime, try exporting the chart to an .svg file. You can do this in the Chart View. See the "Share your chart" section under the help topic Charts quick tour—Charts | ArcGIS Desktop for more information. Then bring the file you created into the layout page as a Picture element. See the "Insert pictures" section in the following help topic - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/add-and-modify-graphics-and-text.htm for more information. Hope this helps, Tom

HI Jacob, Is the map frame that you want to add the grid to a rectangle? If there are any angles that are not 90 degrees you will not be able to add a reference grid since the grid cannot divide a map into equal-area squares under those conditions. If the map frame is indeed a rectangle, then I'm not sure what could be going on. Try creating a brand new project with a brand new map. Insert this map into a new layout. Select the map frame and insert a grid. Do you see Reference Grid as an option? If not, then I would recommend contacting technical support. They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Jacob, The ArcMap "index" grid that Sean referenced at the start of this thread is available in ArcGIS Pro as a "reference" grid - Reference grids—Layouts | Documentation. Could you be more specific on the issue you are having? Thanks, Tom

HI Terry, I'm not aware of any issues that would hinder this functionality. What version of Pro are you using? Have you checked to make sure the URL is correct? You can do this by copying the text you have in the field you are using for the map series and pasting this test into a browser. You stated that you are using a Page Query. Is the feature/row with the link to the picture being filtered for the current map series page? Tom

Hi Tony, You might want to consider setting a map frame constraint to fixed extent before switching the source map. For more information please see Map frame constraints—Layouts | Documentation . Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Michael, It appears from your screenshot that the Map Frame on your layout is activated. When the Map Frame is active the ribbon will responds as if you are working with an active map view. When in this state you can click "Layout" in the screenshot above. This should deactivate the map frame and allow you to work with the page layout and insert map surrounds. Fro more information please refer to Work with a map on a layout—Layouts | Documentation Hope this helps, Tom
