HI Julia, Applying a Page query—Layouts | Documentation to the polygon layer should display the polygon you want for each page. The Map Series group of dynamic text elements (Use dynamic text with map series—Layouts | Documentation) should give you options that you need. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Brian, I'm sorry you are running into this issue. Unfortunately, I cannot think of any workaround that works for Map Service layers. You may have to convert the legend to graphics and remove the items you do not want in the legend manually. The good news - this issue that has been fixed for version 2.6. Thanks, Tom

Hi Michelle, From the screenshot you provided it appears that "STREET NETWORK" is a group within the map service. Groups are a special case in (layout) legends since they do not have symbols, classes, etc... They are really just a label. In order to remove a group name label from the legend you will need to: 1. Open the properties for the top-most legend item for the group since this is the item that controls the visibility of the group label. In your case this would be "STREETS". 2. Uncheck "Group layer name" Hope this helps, Tom

Yusef, Have you considered creating a new feature class where each feature/row is for a specific species and each feature/row has the same geometry (point or polygon). You can use this feature class as the index layer for the map series. If the geometry is the same for each feature the extent should not shift when navigating between the map series pages. This new layer should have a field and values in the field that can be used in a Page Query for your existing point data. Hope this helps, Tom

HI Branislav, Have you made this comment in the Beta forum? As to BUG-000128688 The Group layer name option in the Format Legend Item window is grayed out in ArcGIS Pro 2.5 if the layer is not the first in the table of contents. - this issue has been addressed for 2.6 and should be available with the Beta. Unfortunately, it appears that this is not being reflected in the release notes. We will look into this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Tom

Hi Keith, You might want to try using a callout on the Text symbol. Below is an example. The border for the text element is red. Let's add a background callout with a blue outline to the Text Symbol. 1. Click Text Symbol in the Format Element pane 2. Expand Callout section, select "Background" and click Format polygon symbol 3. Format the polygon. In my example I gave the callout polygon a white fill color with a blue outline with a width of 3 points. The red symbol for the element outline is not needed so I remove that. Here's how it looks with different pages. Te one at the lower right is an example where there is no text for this particular page. Auto adjusting the size of the text is currently not possible, so you'll still need to make the initial size of the text box large enough to accommodate the largest amount text in your series. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Devin, Currently this is not possible. You would need to create separate layers for each, different, page query. Tom

Hi Christian, I don't believe you can specify the size of the output when exporting from the Chart View. Here is a work around you may want to consider. 1. Insert a new Layout 2. Insert the Map Frame (a layout context container for the map) that the chart belongs. Note: In order to add a Chart Frame (the container for your chart) you need to have a Map Frame on the layout. 3. Insert the Chart Frame for the chart (for more info see Chart frames—Layouts | Documentation ) and place it over the map frame. 4. Open the properties of the Chart Frame (not the Chart Properties pane, but the Element pane for the Chart Frame) and un-check "Only show the chart data visible in the map frame" if you want to show all the data in your export. If not you will need to adjust the extent of the Map Frame to make all the features visible in the extent in order to get the correct the data you want in the Chart Frame. 5. Still working with the Chart Frame go to the Placement tab and set the size you want the export to be. When doing this you may need to adjust the size of the Map Frame so that the Chart Frame covers all of the Map Frame (this is important so that none of the Map Frame will be seen in the export.) You can use the same Placement tab in the Map Frame properties to set the size of the Map Frame. Once you have the Chart Frame set to the size you want and it covers all of the Map Frame you are ready to export. 6. With the Layout View active, click the Share tab on the ribbon. 7. Click Export. This open the Export pane. From there export to JPEG or PNG. 8. Key step! Click on the option "Clip to graphics extent". 9. Click Export and import the resulting file into your word document. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Caroline, Use <dyn type="grid" cardinalDir = "True"/> This should give you just the letter for the direction. When the map frame is rotated you can define Edges and corners for the grid and toggle the visibility of each component along each edge to achieve a better result. See Graticules—Layouts | Documentation - about have way through the help article is a short discussion on this topic. Also, here is GeoNet thread covering the same - https://community.esri.com/thread/208918-cannot-orient-layout-frame-grid-labels-properly-on-rotated-frame Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Caroline, You can separate the northing/easting by using the directionSeparator tag, similar to the example in the screenshot below. You can find more information in the help topic - Work with grid label tags—Layouts | Documentation Hope this is what you were looking for. Tom

Thanks for the screenshot. It appears that for the values circled in red there is no space in which to break the string. Word wrapping is not designed to break continuous string values. For example, here is a table with US state names. If I set the "STATE_NAME" column to be 0.6 inches with word wrapping enabled... ... I get the following result. "North Dakota" and "South Dakota" wrap to a new line because there is a space between characters in which to break and wrap the string. Other text such as "Washington" and "Minnesota" are not wrapped because there is no space available to break the string.the In order to word wrap you will need to provide an appropriate space within the text string you want to wrap. Hope this helps, Tom

Hi Patrice, I think the issue may occur when the Table Frame is within a group. Could you tell me if the Table Frame you are having a problem with is part of a group? If so, could you remove the Table Frame from the group and try to change the column width (with word wrapping enabled)? Thanks, Tom

Hi Marcel, Pause drawing should not freeze the UI. This sounds like a bug. I'm unaware of any known issue in regards to this and have not seen any problems with my testing. The UI is responsive when I pause drawing for both 2D and 3D map frame. The issue you are seeing may be particular to your workflow/data. Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. Thanks, Tom

Hi Patrice, I appreciate the amount of time spent preparing your layout only to run into frustration trying to get the Table Frame as you want. There is no known limitation to the number of fields that can be word wrapped. I'm also unaware of any known bugs. That doesn't mean there is not a bug, it just means that there has not been a bug, with reproducible steps, provided to the development team. In order to fix a problem we have to be able to reproduce it. Using version 2.5.1 I am able to word wrap 2 fields. The bug that you, Ingrid, and possibly others, are running into is probably specific on the properties set for your specific Table Frame, or it could be the field types that being wrapped, or a combination of things. Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. Thanks, Tom
