Hello James, I am trying to host my survey on portal and i am getting an error " Global id based relationship requires support for applyEdits with GlobalIds". I have done some test and research, this indicate that the issue is specific to relationship class which ArcGIS Online creates for configuring repeats with the data. When the data is being downloaded from ArcGIS Online. The relationship created by default is between "Primary Key : Global Id" and "Foreign key : parent Global ID" As per the documentation: "If using ArcGIS Server 10.3.1, repeats cannot work with related layers or tables unless the relationship uses a GUID field for the relationship in the parent layer. Although not a requirement in later versions of ArcGIS Server, best practice would be to use a GUID field for the relationship in the parent layer. " https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/survey123witharcgisserver.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_147B3E0089E7446290615D3F1D139231 I have tried different relationship classes for e.g. based on "Global id" vs "GUID , "GUID" vs "GUID". It has never worked for me. As well as, The behavior with data downloaded from ArcGIS Online, as per my understanding is perfectly acceptable "The Custom feature service (Submission url) is not compatible with this survey (Global id based relationship requires support for applyEdits with GlobalIds)." as the global iD are not editing enabled. Have you seen this behavior when we you host your layers and tables on arcgis geodatabase and your survey hosted on portal? Thanks, Diego Llamas

Hello, For some reason, when I open a WAB app that use ArcGIS for server 10.3.1 services, it can load any layer and that is because the services stop working. When I check ArcGIS Server service and restart the service I got the error 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure. I login to the service It start working again fine after login. one or two days working fine, suddenly i cannot see layers in my WAB app and the reason is because again, Server service is not working, I need to type arcgis password again for service runs correctly. Why is my server service login out? why is it not working fine? anyone has any idea what could be happening to ArcGIS Server service? ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 Windows Server Enterprise without Hyper-V SP2 Thank you, Diego Llamas

So, this is the main reason: "the issue you describe, of the areas of parcel polygons in a published map service being incorrect is due to the use of the WGS 1984 Web Mercator projection. The Mercator projection was created for navigation, and preserves direction, but distorts both area and distance a great deal. The illustrations in the Knowledge article at the link below demonstrate distortion that exists in various types of map projections, including Mercator. http://support.esri.com/Technical-Article/000011356 When using the Measure Tool in ArcMap, if the projection of the ArcMap Data Frame is set to the WGS !984 Web Mercator projection, or to a Geographic Coordinate System (GCS), the Measure Tool automatically defaults to using a Geodesic measurement method, rather than Planar. A Planar measurement treats a distance or area as though it is on a flat surface, but a Geodesic measurement takes into consideration the curvature of the earth, as well as compensating for the stretching that you can see in the Mercator projection, or in a GCS."

So, this is what I found, did and worked fine. since I have only one raster present, I looked for the layer_id of my actual raster from SDE_RATSER_Columns table (this raster had id 33) and then find out the BLK,AUX,RAS and BND of the specific layer id and delete the one wasn't number 33 Previously I looked into following system tables to find the entries of the corrupted raster (PR_Photo_2010). -SDE_Table_registryTable_registry -SDE_Geometry_columns -SDE_Layers -SDE_Column_registry -SDE_GDB_items -SDE_raster_columns Right click and select Edit top 200 Rows for all these system tables. . Select the name of my raster and then right click and delete it.

Hello George, No it seems that he just delete the reference system tables from the raster in SDE.layers and other tables. He just deleted every row where the name of the raster appear. Now I am not able to identify which blk belong to the one he deleted so I can delete all this files and release the space that raster is taking.

Hello, I was having a problem with one of my rasters and i deleted several tables from SQL Server and now I do not see the raster in ArcCatalog or ArcMap after this but the space in the database wasn't released. I notice I have two BLK, AUX, RAS and BND tables and I read that the BLK table store the space in the database so I need to delete it but I do not know how I can identify which BLK is for my second Raster and which for the one I already delete. How Can I know which BLK, AUX BND, RAS tables belongs to my actual raster? If I identify this, the other blk file is from the one i delete so I can delete this table. Does anyone knows how can I identify this? thanks, Diego Llamas

Hi everybody We are facing a very importan issue in our production site, for any particular geometry in our published parcel map (polygon fc) we see different values for shape area. Figure 1 shows a value of 2719.06456 in SHAPE.STArea(). This is from the Identify window. When using the “Measure a Feature” option in the Measure Tool we see a value of 2435.802941. This feature class is generated from a copy of the original parcel map on our production database and as you can see below, it shows an area of approximately 2435.761602 (it also shows a slight difference in the value in the windows but is pretty close). The published map is created from a spatial view by joining a copy of the production map with a table from our tax database. Questions: Why the slight difference when using the identify tool and the Measure Tool? More importantly…Why the different values when comparing the production and the published maps? The Measure Tool looks like is providing the correct value. This is a big problem for us since we published the area information so our users can analyse assessment values for the properties and compared with the tax system.

Hi every one Yesterday we were showing to our client their opendata site. This site is hosted on the old version of open data. After 12 pm Puerto Rico time (8 am, California), we notice that we wheren't able to log in again to their open data site through ArcGIS Open Data Administration , it stay loading the site. We thought it was because the new update for open data. We tried to log in again today November 16th and we are having the same problem in several computers. The error we are getting the error that the page for opendata is not found. Using the same user name and password we can access our AGOL with no problem. Is there a new URL for this? How can we access our site now? are we going to loose our site if we did not migrate to the new version? Please let me know how can we solve this issue. Thanks for your help! Diego Llamas
