Hi Curtis, Thanks for your help! I am working with 3 iterators, but as you know we cannot use 2 iterators in the same model, so what I did was to create two different models and add this two to a third one. So I am working a model in a model and when I do this model as a service, It just stay there, do not respond. so a model in a model can work as a service? Have a nice day! DLL

Hi, I am creating a model that use an iterator. I've been looking if it is possible to use an iterator in a geoprocessing service. I found out that iterator cannot been used in scripting but it does not say anything about a service. When I checked geoprocessing services help I did not found anything about iterators, I just need to know if it is able to use it as part of a model on a service. Do you know something about it? Have a great day! Diego Llamas

Hi, I have a question, why when I make a GIS connection using http://mycontentserver/arcgis/mobile it ask me for a username and passowd? before it was not necessary. And second. My server has a configuration setting: User Store:windows Domain Role Store: ArcGIS Server Built in Authentication tire: GIS Server ArcGIS Tokens: ArcGIS Tokens. I create a user domain that is not in any of my roles (admin, publisher or user) but if use this user to authenticate to http://mycontentserver/arcgis/mobile in my phone app or http://mycontentserver/arcgis/mobile/content in a web browser it can access even though this domain user does not have any privilage as a user, publisher or administrator? is it normal? Thanks for all your help! Diego Llamas

I am having issues executing a geoprocessing service that I published in ArcGIS Server. It fails immediately after executing it, apparently an error 000816 is the problem. It says that the tool is not valid. For that matter, I will explain the process of authoring and publishing the geoprocessing service. The service contains a model composed of five tools: Get Job AOI Get Job Data Workspace Create Replica Zip FileGDB Send email with zipfile attachment As you can see two of the tools come from the Workflow Manager toolbox, one is from the Distributed Geodatabase toolset, one custom made, and the last one comes from the data extraction toolset within the server tools. The first problem I encountered was that the model didn’t work in the background, so I change the geoprocessing option to disable background processing. It worked in the foreground perfectly without errors, so I publish it in ArcGIS Server from a publisher connection succesfuly. As mentioned before, I wasn’t able to consume the service because of error 000816. I ran it a synchronous and synchronous and it didn’t work. I would like to know if Workflow Manager Tools can run in 64 bit in the background as part of a model and if geoprocessing services support Workflow Manager tools. I also want to know what can be the cause of the geoprocessing service failure and what can be done to solve it. I read this help ArcGIS Desktop and it seems that my inputs and outputs are correct. Thank you for your help! Diego Llamas

Hi, I am trying to save a mobile project as wmpk file and then to upload it to my server using explorer and not Mobile Project Center. Using ArcGIS Mobile 10.2 and trying to save my project as there is no option for wmpk file. If I use Package data option the result are cache files and not wmpk file. Is there a way to create this file fromMPC? Thanks for your help! Best Regards, Diego Llamas

Hi, I use a process to reconcile all the versions. For some reason it never finalizes succesfully. When the process is running at some point i will get the following error message: Error reconciling version DAVAZQUEZ.722384_JTX.[Out of server memory [SDE.GDB_ItemRelationships]]. I got this message afte the process reconciled more than 220 versions. It does not matter if I reconcile by objects or attributes, i get the same error. If I restart the proccess it finishes successfully but if I have more than 220 versions it will fail. My database is 10.2.0 and Desktop 10.2.0. The process runs before people start working or after hours, when nobody is using it. Please any help will be appreciated Thanks Diego Llamas

Hi, I am representing points with a pie chart but they are too close together so with the option "Prevent chart overlap" ArcMap distribute the charts all over the map but do not represent the exact location. If I Do not use that option they overlap but represent the exact location. My question, is there a way to distribute my graphics all over my map and with an arrow or a line represent where the grapic is located? something like this Thanks for all your help! Diego: You had an older posting about cache scales not displaying at 10.2.1: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/102340-Manage-Map-server-Cache-Tiles-Scales-are-blank Have you gotten past this bug and found a new bug? I am only at AGS v10.0, so I can not test to see if I can replicate your issue. There might still be some bugs with this tool that ESRI would need to address. Yes, but now is different. Now, as you suggested, I click on the service and right click on it to generate the cache. I add 12 scales when I create the service but when I try to manage my tiles to generate the cache it does not give the option to select my 12 scales, it just show me 8, I am missing my 4000000,2000000,4000 and 2000 scales. I've been using creating cache tool or creating cache when I create the service but with the same result when I try to generate my cache tiles.

Creating an ArcGIS for Server site can be done a few different ways; the brute force way is to uninstall and re-install the entire ArcGIS for Server application (and possibly a web adaptor if you're using one). However, the path you take will depend on your requirements and your specific situation. Besides ripping everything out and re-installing, here are two alternative methods for creating a site: Deleting a Site and Creating a Brand New Site This method assumes that you simply want to delete the current site and create a new one. In other words, you don't care about your current site and have no interest in saving any part of its configuration. Step 1 - delete the existing site: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Deleting_a_site/0154000005zw000000/ Step 2 - create a brand new site: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//0154000002p4000000 Backing Up a Site Configuration and Restoring It Afterwards This method assumes that you are either moving your site to another machine (and have no interest in joining that other machine to your current site first) or that you are reverting your current site back to a previous state when you last backed it up. Step 1 - back up the existing site: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Backup_utility/01540000065s000000/ Step 2 OPTIONAL - delete the existing site: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Deleting_a_site/0154000005zw000000/ Step 3 - restore the site http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Restore_utility/01540000065r000000/ Thanks William this was helpful
