Is this coming from a Spatial DB? meaning enabled by ArcGIS? If so have you registered the views with ArcCatalog? Once you have you can add indexes to help speed spatial performance.

With each version of ArcGIS Enterprise there is updates/upgrades pointing to Living Atlas content that is shared in the Portal environment. Currently there is no way to say from 10.9.1 import the latest build/release of content links that exist in 11. It would be great if tool/script could be provided that will update/upgrade the content to point to the latest references and also retire/deprecate old links/items.

Hi @AndrewEaman ; it has been a bit since I last looked at their schema/structure but short answer is yes. If you have your feature-class that is your spatial record with a key to the Accela-Record and you do a relationship between the tables on that key; then yes you would be able to build a editable record (provided you give/get the right permissions to the DB that are exposed to your ArcGIS Server).

Agreed. I think it would make more sense to package them as a separate installation that can go on-top of a full install to include the Beta functionality to users who wish it. The inclusion/expansion of Web-Hooks is great at the 11.0 level; but leaving in place a incomplete/beta stack that would be subject to change in the next or future release compromises the FULL RELEASE SDLC.

No, you need to install a full/upgrade for the SQL Studio; this includes the latest packaged Visual Studio runtime.

We are looking at setting up iRules in our F5 to check the status of our Portal and Server nodes to redirect between machines if one is offline. Does anyone have a copy of a iRule you setup for your system that you would be willing to share as a starting point? My Infrastructure group hasn't looked at this type of configuration before and are looking for a road-map.

I have always thought that patching your passive/stand-by instance, then rebooting and let it stabilize, then patching the active node so it will become the stand-by was the best answer; but it would be great to see definitive guidance from the ESRI staff for it.

I don't think a "immediate update" would be viable; but I think the potential in the Webmap to add a "refresh interval" option similar to Feature-Layers would be logical. So at that refresh interval have a check that if the Vector-Tiles had been updated then download again.

Yes you can; you can only have one as your "Hosting Server" role; but you can federate more than one supporting different functions. I have 1 as my hosting, then another as my workflow-manager; which also is used for servicing my batch-applications for bulk data processing.

No, I have seen some different settings flip myself in my HA configurations and it has caused some concern in the past; but as you said things appear to function ok.

@DavidColey - We are just getting ready to do the same process at my locations. According to ESRI ProServices they don't have a issue with it being supported/unsupported as they say the support the OS vendors guidance. But we are doing it in a staged manner; Web-Adaptor/IIS machines first, the AGS machines, then Portal with liberal VM backups and ESRI WebgisDR snapshots.

I'll echo a bit of what @jcarlson said below but expound on it a bit. The biggest question will depend on how you are using/accessing the data. Major things to consider: 1. Will I have users using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap/ArcCatalog) ? As these require a direct SQL driver interface that does bulk-cursor loading a cloud interface would not be recommended. 2. Will my users be primarily using ArcGIS Pro? If yes and you are working with Feature-Services/Hosted-Services then you will be in good shape. 3. Will my users be using Web-Clients (ArcGIS Online/Portal/etc)? If yes, then you will be in a good place as these all use the ESRI Service-Architecture which is much more forgiving versus the legacy/ArcGIS Desktop APIs.
