Scott I downloaded it and tried to sign in and it kept telling me that failed to load map signing you out. I went to other sign in options and put the url to our organization page. And still can't sign in. Not sure if I am doing it right. Am I missing a step. Or is there a bug already. Would like to start to use it but can't get signed in

What would be the proper syntax if I want to use the "replace" python function in ArcMap field calculator to replace a file path with a new one. for example the current links path is W:\folder name\file name I want to replace just the "W:\" with "V:\" Any help would be great. Thanks

Xander Thanks for the reply. For whatever reason it seems to be working now. Not sure what happened. It was working fine for a while then started acting strange yesterday. I forgot to mention that the feature class that the map is using is part of a replication. So I just compressed both databases and synced from default to the replication re-added the layer and it seems to be working great now. However if it continues to act strange and become slow again, I will try and create the attribute index and see if that stabilizes the layer. Thanks again for your time.

When I attempt to symbolize a layer on one particular field it causes the map to react real slow. It takes the layer a good 3 to 5 minutes to draw causing the map to basically become unresponsive. However if I try to symbolize on any other field in that layer it draws and behaves perfectly fine. I have tried symbolizing the layer in a brand new map along with other established maps and it reacts the same way when I symbolize on that field. We are at 10.1 sp1.

We are currently running 10.1 sp1. We have SQL. I am trying to do a spatial join on some layers from our sde gdb. and I am getting the following error message . (See attachment). In the past I have been able to perform the spatial joins. Has anybody else experienced this error message.

We are currently running 10.1 sp1. I was wondering why it is that after I remove all locks from our enterprise gdb I try to change one of our fields data type from a text to a long integer. It allows me to make the change but when I hit apply it just reverts back to its original text data type value. If I have any kind of text value in that field when I try to change to a long integer would that cause this behavior? for example the field I want to change is "House_Num" which has its data type set to text. All the values in the field are numbers except for a couple that has text. would this cause it not to change and revert back to text after I hit apply?

Jello. I am trying to copy some datasets form our enterprise 10.1 gdb to a file gdb or even another sde gdb that I made. and I am getting the following error message when I try to copy the water dataset: "Failed to paste sde.dbo.Water Table attachments not supported in this release of the Geodatabase. The table was not found. [Water_Net_BUILDER]" Anybody else experience this. any help would be great. Thanks

Does anybody know when esri is going to get around to releasing the explorer for arcgis app for android. I read they said this fall. But does anybody have a more concise time frame then just this fall. Just curious because some of our employees are abandoning their iPads for Androids. and I like explorer, so I was just wondering.

How do I generate or get a bitly for a web application that I made in AGO. I know how to get it with my web maps when their open in arcgis map viewer you just click the share button. But what about for a web application that has already been published.
