Hello, When checking the distance of a path in Google Earth, it's total length is 2223 km. Bringing the KMZ into ArcMap, the distance I get from Calculate Geometry is 3303km. See attached pics. What could account for the 50% difference? Within ArcMap, the data frame is set to Web Mercator 1984 (auxiliary sphere), as is the coordinate system of the shapefile I saved from the KMZ. ... Hello, My map of British Columbia (attached) is too squished for my liking. I realize that's how the province actually is, but for visualization purposes, I'd like it stretched taller. Hello, In order to get my feature data ready for Tableau integration, I had to run 'Feature Vertices to Points' for 28 polygon classes. Then I ran 'Add XY coordinates' for the 28 to get coordinates (which Tableau requires). Problem is, Add XY gave me projected meter values, yet Tableau requires decimal degrees Lat/Long. Instead of recalculating the geometry by going into each of the 28 attribute tables, is there a way to batch recalculate into decimal degrees? ... View more

Hello, I have two polygon layers (shown in the attached image). I want to be able to select the smaller polygons from the cyan-colored parcels that are at least 80% covered by the larger reddish polygon layer. Then of course I would create a new layer from the selection. How would I make a selection based on 80% or greater overlap from another polygon layer? ... View more

I'm working with a DEM of Great Britain, and I need to isolate particular regions. The criteria is slopes 15% or greater AND elevation is above 400m AND aspect is oriented North-East. Hello, I am analyzing a parcel of farmland that contains a house, some road paving, a large barn, and of course the majority being a cultivated field. The analysis is being done using multispectral imagery, so there are RGB pixel values. What I am looking for is a way to train Arc to create polygon features of each class of land use feature (house, pavement, barn, field crops). Hello, this is a question involving quality control. I have two people separately digitizing land features within the same area. After they are done, I need to take their created polygons and highlight the differences between them. Then we will go through an iterative process to resolve the differences into a final product. Hello, I am trying to find the best way to merge small polygons into one polygon. They have to be merged to match provincial subdivisions. What I'm working on you can see below: So I have to merge the little aquamarine polygons into one for each subdivision, delineated by the grey lines. There are roughly 3260 aquamarine polygons, and 153 subdivision polygons. In the end I would need 153 (or less since some subdivisions do not contain aquamarine polygons) aquamarine polygons. Hello,   I am attempting to acquire the mean value of an attribute from mutiple polygons that intersect with a regional polygon.   Ex. There are 6 polygons, all with an attribute for Total Clay content (%) but different values. These 6 polygons fall within a county polygon.
