I am coming back to this as it has become a huge issue in our form workflow.  How do you suggest handling this? Form has 7 fields that are all relevant as you go down the line.  So fill in 1 and 2 appears, etc. Due to the way validation on constraints works currently if I put a bad value in field 2 it will let me continue filling out all the way to field 7 with no error. User then taps add repeat and now the error on Field 2 is found. The user wants to change the value on Field 2 so they first tap X (or backspaces) to clear the field. Bamm! ALL of the data in field 3-7 gets instantly wiped out since my relevant kicked in (since field 2 is now blank).     Note in my case there are not just 7 fields but 7 sets of 4 fields.  So the user actually just lost 28 fields of data! What is the official way this can be solved?  Seems like a workflow hole to me.  To fix it I would again say we need a way to force validation on a field as they user leaves it.  We should be able to stop them from going any further right there.  The users are really after me about this one as every other forms program we ever had was this way.  Another possible fix is to somehow not kick off relevants on every single char change when typing. In addition to this is constraints on relevant not being validated until form submit vs on repeat advance.  If my user has 50 repeats and hit submit it randomly goes back to say point 5 and says error.  Use clicks error in say field 2 and Bamm loses the entire repeat of data.  User does it all over.  User again hits submit and hits an error on repeat 12 and the whole mess starts all over again. I am using a relevant like this string-length(${Lower1})>0.  Maybe there is someway to write this so that it does not disappear at 0?  Maybe I have to check all the fields below it also?  May get slow.  For lower2 relevant  lower1>0 and lower3>0 and lower4>0 etc.  That may work? What about a validate page button like in Connect even.  But it right between the pages arrows.   I am open to any ideas.  This one really scares me. ... View more

Thanks Phil.  I have now got other very simple TPKs to work.  This is a advanced user that was simply trying to use the same TPK from last year that worked fine.  I gave the simple TPK to the user and they can see it but they still cannot see the other one in the same dir next to it.  It is 9GB but I know of no limit unless one was introduced?  The SDcard is encrypted by the tablet - could that be it?  Again the other file in the exact same place works however.  I also confirmed the TPK works in ArcMap just fine.  It is in the correct projection. Using Android Samsung Active 2 v8 and the user is Samsung S2 Android 7.0. Any other reason you can think of why it would not list it? Thanks ... View more

Me 3.  Tried everything and it just plain will not list.  Can we Please change this back to the way it was!  Please.  Just pick a dir and load them like before.  It used to be so easy and slick (esp compared to Collector) and now it is rather useless.  (I could point Survey to my 3rd party app dir that had 30+ tpks in it and just use them right away.  Was so cool.)  Now it is way too much for the avg user and just a time consuming pain for us admins.  I could see adding a way to NOT list them but to have all these hoops just to list a dir is just plain not working.  Maybe I am missing something but I just see 0 benefit to having to manually edit them just to get them in the list. Just coming here to ask this also.  In the Android beta Collector update that came out today it specifically says in the description that peplanned Offline Areas are now supported. (In the What's New section) No button for on demand yet. When will at least regular offline be coming to Android?  I have field season starting in May and could really use it.  I am using an Arccade expression so Classic does not cut it.  Will there still be side loaded TPK support.  If so will I finally be able to pick the dir.  Sharing tpks basemaps across Collector and Survey123 used to be easy but now is really hard. ... If your IT dept is blocking things then they probably have some management software on there. I suggest going to them with your issue.  They may be able to just push the files or have an approved app for file sharing.  My last company same thing - found out they had a corporate approved solution the whole time.  If you try to get around their policy using other methods they probably will not be too happy.   ... I used to use one master Google account for 200 tablets.  So you could create a master Google account then add the files to that account.  Give all the users that master login.  Then all they have to do is install the app and login.  Does not get much easier than that.  If you have management software on them you can push that app out easily. What about Google Drive or similar.  You can set it to Available offline and I think it will take care of syncing changes and all that for you.  You may be able to form a web or app link to launch them also.  Or just open Drive and it would be sitting right there. ... View more

Looking at your sheet I have two more guesses. One is your values in the first column are really long.  One was 82 chars.  Not sure if you are hitting a limit. Two is you have columns with only numbers as the Name of the column.  Try something like Column1 instead of just 1. ... View more

I assume you mean a external_choices sheet?  If so make sure there are no special chars in your name OR label Or any other custom field.  Big one is commas.  I had a few buried in my choice list labels and it messed up a bunch of stuff.  Also watch out for \, etc. Also can try a copy to a brand new Excel and save.  Make sure to do Paste Values when you do this. ... I had forms going back to early v2 so the columns and drop downs were way old. I did this and it worked great. Go into My Survey Designs folder In the Survey folder rename your form.xls to OLDform.xls Open Connect latest version Start a Brand new form and open it in Excel Delete the starter fields Open the OLDform.xls in Excel For each page - survey, choices, settings (not types)      Copy all the fields in OLDForm.xls from top to bottom and end to end     Paste VALUES into the new form Excel.  MAKE SURE to use right click Paste Values!  Otherwise you just bring all the old validation with it.  Note this also helped me fix up all the validation and drop downs that had got messed up over the years.  The past designers kept doing regular copy and paste all over and it messed up all the formulas. CHECK that all the columns line up.  I had many where the esriFieldLength and esribinType were 1 or 2 columns off Check the choices page if you have any additional columns - make sure you add the column name you need in there. Fix these using Paste Values again! Save the new form as form.xls in to the original form directory. Open the old form via connect It will ask to reload, say yes. Publish Fin. Thanks James I got it to work ok.  For others. I created two Arcade expressions using the code above.  This actually works in the new Collector!  So I can now launch a form and pass the WGS84 coordinates to Survey123 into a hidden field. Then I made it cooler.  I found this post https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2018/01/10/calculating-distances-between-multiple-geo-points-with-the-haversine-formula that showed how to calc distance between 2 points. So I have a note showing the user the lat/long they are trying to get to.  I then have the lat long of their current location shown just below the map.  I then use the distance code in a field to show the user how far in meters they are away from where they are supposed to be.  It updates automatically whenever the GPS button is hit. I then store this distance for QA later (I could constrain on that but we have rules where they can move.  I just constrain on GPS accuracy.  Even cooler you could add a field that appears based on distance - like did you need to move this plot?) Pretty slick!  Hope someone can use it.
