Robert, I took this code from the _reverseGeocodeToggle function and put it in onDeActive, so the reverse geocode / Inspector button would also deactivate when the widget is closed. onDeActive: function(){
var node = this.revGeocodeBtn;
if(domClass.contains(node, 'selected')){
domClass.remove(node, "selected");
this.drawToolBar.deactivate();
this.drawActive = false;
esriBundle.toolbars.draw.addPoint = this._defaultAddPointStr;
this.enableWebMapPopup();
}
},

Hi Tom, this widget is fantastic! I was wondering if it is possible to change the default font size? I would love to be able to make it a little smaller.

Right on, that did it! Of course, you are absolved of any and all knuckleheadery past, present, and future for all the work you share with this community. A bonus of working through this issue is that one of my previous wishes has been granted: the function you had me add earlier causes Inspector to be deactivated when eLocate is closed. I like this change. Thank you for your help, Robert!

I'm using Foldable Theme. Maybe the video would work on youtube (link). If it doesn't work out to resolve this issue, I can use a workaround. If I add a placeholder search layer that basically does nothing, and move it to the top of the search layers list, then the problem goes away.

I did add the function to both, and double checked that I got drawBox vs drawToolBar correct and unfortunately it didn't work. It's times like this it would be helpful to have my app on a public facing web server... Very strange that your fix worked for you but not for me... I hope I described the issue accurately enough. I just recorded a video so you can see what I'm seeing:

I tried to fiddle around with this today, following your lead with the onDeActive function, but couldn't figure out what I was trying to do. It's as if eSearch is listening for eLocate to create a search graphic, then fires off the search when address inspector adds a graphic. I was trying to see if there was an event listener that I could possibly disable using the onDeActive function, but didn't get anywhere with that.

I have it configured with both widgets in the header controller (foldable theme), and they are not in a group together, so no, both widgets can't be open at the same time. I added the line you shared in the previous post and no luck with that either, darn it.

Thanks Robert. That would be great if you can figure something out. No luck on the workaround, I already had that option unchecked. Fortunately this is not a major issue.

Hey Robert. I've got an app that is configured with both eLocate and eSearch. When using address inspector, if I have previously opened eSearch, clicking to get an address also returns an eSearch "By Shape" result. For example, the red polygon in the following screenshot.

Hey all. So, I really wish that the out-of-box measurement widget worked like the measure tool in ArcMap, meaning that it is missing a key feature. It really should display the current segment length AND total length together dynamically, when measuring a polyline or polygon (perimeter). The "Measure a Feature" option would be great too. Finally, I would love to see the option of displaying the bearing of the current segment dynamically. Tom Stellsted's wonderful measure widget is awesome and comes so close to doing it all, but I would really love to see these features added to the simple and easy to use default widget. If you agree, please upvote my idea https://community.esri.com/ideas/12658

These features are needed for the Javascript API / WebAppbuilder measurement widget, when measuring a line or polyline: Display the total length AND segment length together dynamically when measuring polylines or polygons (perimeter) Have the option to click a feature to get its measurements Have the option of displaying the bearing of the current segment The first two points have been a part of the ArcMap measure tool for as long as I can remember. The measure widget feels incomplete without them! There are widgets out there that do most of these things, but we really need them all combined into one simple and easy to use widget.

Here's what I think Rob Halko is trying to get at... if you are simply using url parameters to link out to Google Maps or Street View in a new window - just a plain old hyperlink where the windows are not communicating with each other in any way - then you aren't actually using anything in the API to achieve this, and therefore would not be subject to the TOS. True or false, I don't know enough about it to answer the question, but it is an interesting question.

When changing a layer's style, please add more options for basic shape symbols. Currently there is a square, circle, and diamond. I am referring to the ones where you can change the fill color, outline color, and transparency. These symbols offer good customization and can look very nice in a minimal kind of way. Triangle, star, hexagon, or anything else like that would be great.
