Hi All, I have WAB dev running on a network drive so that I can have other developers working from the same set of apps. WAB launches and runs fine from that location however, only I can see the maps I create. Is it possible to allow all developers to see and edit each others work? Thanks.

I am using WAB that is in Portal. Any way to do the same with that?

I was able to get the tool to run from a web map analysis and the layer symbology is correct. My only remaining issue is the result Map Service Layer does not have pop ups on as default. I can't seem to get that to work. Might be a limitation of Portal but hopefully not.

Hi All. I have a python toolbox that I have published on my old 10.1 server. It fetches a shape file from an external source and then hosts it a temprary dynamic map service layer. Now that I am moving up to 10.6 I need to republish this service. I have it working in ArcGIS Pro and I am able to publish the result as a GP service. When I look at the service details for the map service layer it says there are no layers which it did show in 10.1. When I use the GP Tool widget in WAB, it doesn't allow me to set things like pop ups as it doesn't recognize any layers in the service. Any ideas?

Hi All, I am looking to see if anyone is working for hire to create webappbuilder widgets. I am moving away from silverlight and rebuilding my apps using webappbuilder but will have some lost functionality I need to recreate with widgets. I don't have much time to learn to develop widgets so I am thinking of outsourcing this work. I work for a large organization so this is not going to be an under the table type of job as we have protocol to follow. Thanks..

The time zones on my machnes are different as they are located in different time zones. Seems like a bug if that actually matters. However, I did try changing the time zones to match with no luck. ESRI support tried to help and we could not solve the issue. Had to due redundant server on same site which is not what we wanted but have no choice.

I recently set up a development Portal instance that is federated with a hosting server. All 10.6.1. Security is utilizing SSo with Active Directory. After configuring portal I set up my level 2 admin account and the other level 2 account is taken by the PSA account. I am able to log into the the web portal with my account without any issues. When try to log in to the Portal using ArcGIS Pro I enter credentials (domain\username) and PW in the portal sign in screen. The screen disappears like it signed me in but then says not logged in.Checking the Portal logs there is a message (appears 2 times) WARNING The maximum number of licensed members for membership level 2 has been reached. This is the same account I use to log into the web portal. Any ideas?

Well that sounds like a headache. I think instead of buying a second developer license I will just get a second staging licene to use as our dev environment. Thanks for the info.

Thread is pretty old but wondering how you made out with this. I am in the same boat now that I am trying portal for the first time. I have 2 developers but can only have one level 2 account because the psa took the other. Really shortsighted on ESRI's part.

I am working through documentation but I am unclear on how to set up our enterprise server/portal environment. Hoping for some guidance. Currently on 10.1 with security handeld through Active Directory. We have about 1,000 users of GIS. 99% of those users are only utilizing a couple of services on our server and all of them are view only. At this point I am used to securing the services but after federating the portal to the server, it looks like I need to add all 1,000 users to portal to share the resources. I did not think this was the case before I got started so now I may have to justify the added expense of user licensing. So my thought is maybe I do not federate the server and handle the service security as I have in the past. I am just trying to understand what that means for Portal moving forward. Eventually I would like to utilize portal but is IWA supported when the portal is not federated? If so how does sharing items vs service security work? I would assume that you could share an item but if they don't have service level access the service will deny access and nothing would load. I appreciate any insight.

So because I am using the 😧 drive instead of C: I can't have a space in the install directory.If I am reading the solution correctly, I will need to uninstall and start from scratch?

No luck. I granted that account full control access to: D:\argis and all subfolders, <D:\program files\arcigis> and all subfolders.
