Hi James, Why does the Sent folder functionality act differently than the Inbox folder? What exactly is the difference then between opening a survey from your Sent folder versus your Inbox folder? If I capture a survey on a device and then submit it, then shouldn't all of the information and photos from the survey already be there on my device.

Hi, I have noticed that any photos that were submitted in a survey DO NOT display in that same survey when it is re-opened from the Inbox. This functionality is available when a survey is opened from the Sent box but not the Inbox? Why is this the case? And is there a workaround or solution available or coming soon? My specific workflow requires that any survey that is opened from the Inbox must have the photos displayed in it as a reference for the field crew member who submitted the survey. Thanks

Hey Robert, Thanks for the prompt response. I have attached the following screen shot to show the error that I am getting from the Dev console. Additionally, just below this error there is a information warning saying that the map service that I am trying to acquire required Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). The map service is not ours but was given to us to use in our map with simple login credentials. The username and password are entered at the time of adding the map service URL into the identify widget. I would have thought that would allow for its official use in this widget. Jason

Hey rscheitlin Having an issue with the identify widget where it will work on Feature Services but will not retrieve results when using a map service for the Identify Widget specifically. I have the necessary functions set up to allow for Identifying the map service but it will not work. I can just click on the map and retrieve results from the data in this map service and I can also use the Select Widget to retrieve results from the map service but not the Identify widget. As far as I can tell I am using Identify Widget version 2.4 and Web App DEV editon 2.4. Sorry for being vague but hopefully you can still understand the issue here. Thanks, Jason

Thanks James. Does the Survey123 team have an ETA on when that camera functionality might be available for the Survey123 mobile application? I thought I read about it being in the works for the past couple of releases but its still not out yet. Also, do you know when the field-list appearance capability below will be made available? This functionality would be extremely useful for long surveys. field-list Applies to groups and repeats, when style is set to pages. Displays group of questions on a separate page. Thanks ichivite-esristaff #survey123 app #survey123photo #survey123camera

Ismael Ismael Chivite, I have a question for you regarding item #8 - Source Code Available that I hope you can either answer or point me in the right direction. Right now, one of our clients would like certain types of functionality to be made available within the Survey123 application that don't currently exist. We decided to go down the route of obtaining a standard license so we can edit the Survey123 application source code through AppStudio. In particular, our client would like to take full advantage of the camera on their mobile devices, meaning the ability to zoom in/out while taking a picture, or using the flash in dark areas. Our developer has started reviewing some of the .qml files, specifically the ones related to the camera functionality. What worries me is that this seems like something that you guys would have already been able to solve or provide within the Survey123 application, and the fact that it hasn't been done yet makes me nervous about this being achievable. I was hoping that perhaps you could provide me with a little bit of insight regarding this topic? Also, have there been any support documents regarding editing the source code for Survey123 using AppStudio? Specifically any additional functionality that others have been able to develop in order to enhance the Survey123 application? Thanks #survey123 app #survey123 #survey123camera #survey123photo

RJ, Has there been any advancement in developing a solution/fix within GeoEvent to resolve this specific issue or do we still need to employ the "work around" options listed in the posts above? Thanks Sorry, no, there have not been any changes made to the Get Incremental Updates capability for the Poll an ArcGIS Server for Features input. The input still relies on a key (either a date or objectid) that it maintains in memory and uses when querying the feature service for a set of feature records. So if GeoEvent Server is restarted the key is lost, the input polls, receives all feature records and establishes a new key value from the feature set it receives. There hasn't been a lot of interest in changing this behavior until just recently. Several customers have contacted the product team asking if the input can at least persist its key once a minute to disk or the zookeeper configuration store and then - if/when the input finds that it has lost its key - retrieve the last-known value rather than polling all feature records and deciding on a new key. We're re-evaluating whether we can implement this behavior for the 10.7 release. In the meantime, please see my comments to Dale, below, logged in the Re: Question regarding "Incremental Update" workarounds, custom components? thread. - RJ

With all the updates to Survey123 in the past year, why hasn't the camera/picture taking aspect been addressed in any of the updates? Functionality like zooming in/out, using the flash in dark places, etc. Thanks #survey123 image #survey123photo

James Tedrick Hi James, Currently I am unable to open up and view my survey data through the Data tab using the Survey123 web browser: This issue is only occurring for one specific survey. I am able to access the survey data for my other surveys via the web browser data tab. I was hoping you could help me understand why this is occurring? Fortunately I am able to access my survey data through ArcGIS Online and can successfully download all the data as an excel spreadsheet. However, I would like to understand why I am unable to do so via the Survey123 web browser. Thanks
