Hi Nikholai, That does present an issue when utilizing 'favorite answers'. We do have an open issue regarding the ability to base favorite answers on a subset of questions from the form as opposed to all answers. I will add your comments to the request to allow for the subset, noting that this would be particularly useful in this case. In the meantime, please advise those utilizing favorites to ensure the geopoint question has been set, prior to pasting in the favorite answers. Thank you for the feedback, Brandon

You should be able to add a field to the feature service without affecting the existing survey(s) based off of it, however, I am reluctant to recommend going that route if you are already encountering issues when attempting to add field(s) to the survey using Survey123 Connect. If possible, please capture a log of the behavior in Survey123 Connect by using the steps listed in the help document linked here. Please upload the log to this thread, or send it to me at barmstrong AT esri.com. Thanks, Brandon

Hi David, Can you please try to Sign Out of the Survey123 website and re Sign In? After doing so, and then selecting the 'Data' tab for the desired survey, are the results present? Thanks, Brandon

Where does the process hang? I was able to successfully create a new survey using Survey123 Connect, publish, add a new field, and republosh without issue. Can you please try the same so that we can see if it is survey dependent or potentially related to another variable? Thanks, Brandon

Hi Mike, One option would be to provide the link to the second survey when the desired answer is selected from the previous question (dictated by a relevant statement). So, for instance, if the question was, "Do you like pizza?" yes/no...if yes, the link to the second survey would be displayed (place link in hyperlink html for the question label). if no, the question would be skipped. You can grab the appropriate share link from the Collaborate options for the desired survey in the survey123.arcgis.com website. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding how this would work. Brandon

Hi Juma, After taking a look at your XLSForm, it appears that you are using several 'Reserved Keywords' as names for your fields. You will notice that there are several 'Validation Errors' that appear in the name column of your XLSForm, which is indicating that these names are not valid and need to be changed. In addition, you can reference the 'types' sheet within the XLSForm which has a list of Reserved Keywords. In your particular case, the name's causing issue are 'where', 'case', 'link', 'add', and 'name'. Please change these names, republish the survey, and see if you are able to view the data without issue in the Survey123 website. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Chris, Great to hear about the sea turtle project that you'll be managing with Survey123. As you mentioned, it is a best practice to test and ensure that the schema of your survey is appropriately setup, prior to publishing to 'production', however, we do understand that sometimes there are changes that need to be made after the fact. Please refer to the chart outlined in the help documentation linked below, which provides a list of changes that can be made to a published survey that should not cause loss of data... Publish your survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS As you will see, there are a number of updates that can be made that should not affect the data that has already been collected. Brandon

Hi Juma, Can you provide more details regarding where you are attempting to view your geopoint dataset? For instance, are you observing this behavior in the Survey123 field app on a phone, or using the web app? You mentioned that you are using an 'XLSM' file, does this mean that you are attempting to utilize macros? If so, please try to use a .xls file to generate your form and see if you are able to see your geopoint reflected. Brandon

Hi Lynn, Apologies on the delayed response. I believe the issue that you are encountering is related to the difference in permissions that you have set for each of the feature layers participating in your survey's. As we can see from the provided screenshots, Bacteria Batch v5 has the capability to 'add, update, and delete features', while the 2 surveys encountering issues have 'update attributes only'. The reason that you did not have issues submitting during your testing with 'Bacteria Batch v4' and 'Field Parameters' is likely related to the fact that you were the creator of the survey, and also an administrator within your AGOL Organization (therefore unrestricted by the editing settings applied to the feature layer). After you created a copy of Bacteria Batch v4, you applied different editing settings to the layer 'add, update, and delete features', which therefore allowed for the 'shared' user to submit without issue. As the other 2, 'Bacteria Batch v4' and 'Field Parameters' still have limited editing privileges applied to their feature layers, it will still be impossible for the 'shared' user to submit surveys to them, unless attempting to do so as a named user with administrative privileges within the same AGOL Organization. In case you did not use the 'Collaborate' method for sharing your survey's, please refer to the following help documentation for best practices when sharing/editing surveys... Share survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Please let me know if you have any questions related to this information. Brandon
