Hi Joshua, Although, on first take, it does seems that an integer type field should satisfy for all ZIP Codes and Street Addresses there are some cases that must be considered. For instance, some ZIP Codes start with a leading '0' (CT, MA, MA, NJ, etc...) and lots of addresses include '1/2' in them i.e. 920 1/2 Church Street. Due to examples like these, in fact, ZIP Codes and street addresses should be stored as strings, or 'text' type questions. Brandon

Hi Joshua, Have you considered using a 'text' field type in the XLSForm as opposed to integer? Please explain if this would not work for you as a solution. Thank you, Brandon

Hi Brandon, Please check to verify that the feature service is still present within the Survey folder of your ArcGIS Online Organization Content page. You can do this by clicking on the same 'globe' icon shown in the previous screenshot and select 'View item details in your ArcGIS Organization'. It sounds like there may be a disconnection that happened with the survey and the feature service, leading to the error that you are seeing. If you downloaded the survey to your mobile device prior to the event, you would still be able to open the survey using the field app, but likely be unable to submit. You can try this as a test as well (attempt submittal of survey from field app)

Please try to delete the survey from Survey123 Connect, and try from scratch. Here is an example of your XLSForm that I was successfully able to publish without error.

Hi Chris, After taking a look at your XLSForm, it looks like you are encountering this issue due to duplicate values in the 'name' field of your survey sheet (N1, N2, N3, N4). Please ensure that all values in the name field are unique and that you are not using any reserved words for name's as well (can be checked by looking at the Settings sheet in the XLSForm). Let me know if changing these issues resolves the error. Brandon

Hi Chris, I see the red exclamation icon that you are referring to, and I have gone ahead and made note of your concerns in our internal backlog. At this time, there is not a workaround to provide a default image in place of the missing image, however, I will update you with any updates that evolve. Thank you for sharing your feedback and how it affects your workflow. Brandon

Hi Lynn, Please answer the questions if you are able... 1. Can you check to see if the results of the Bacteria Batch v4 surveys that are stuck in the 'outbox' folder are present in the feature service? 2. Are the applied Feature Layer Settings different between Bacteria Batch v4 and Bacteria Batch v5 ? Manage hosted feature layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS (particularly no.6 in the Allow other to edit section) 3. Do the surveys stuck in the outbox contain attachments? Thank you, Brandon

Hi Bryce, The calculate question type is intended to hold values that do not need to be displayed in the form but are included in the feature service. As you found, you can use other field types (integer, decimal, text...) and apply the calculation in the calculation column. Note, that if using a string type of question to perform a calculation that will result in a numeric value, you will likely want to use the 'int(${question_one})' syntax in order to ensure that the result is recorded an an integer. This will allow for the result to be used in further numeric calculations. Formulas—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Brandon

Hi Doug, There should not be an issue adding an external choices sheet and choice filter to an existing survey, and I don't think that applying a default value should cause an error during submission from the field app. Is your issue resolved after removing a default value that you had applied? If not, I have sent you a private message in GeoNet with my email address, which you can send to me when you get the chance.

Hi Mark, If your XLSForm is still not updating after renaming it back to the original name, it sounds like further investigation will need to take place. If you are able to upload a zipped copy of your survey folder to this thread, please do so (C:\Users\<username>\ArcGIS\My Survey Designs\<survey>) Otherwise, please consider following up with technical support so that they can investigate further. Hi Jonas, Have you investigated the use of the pulldata function to extract known coordinates from an external dataset? Please take a look at this Blog and see if it might suit your needs.

Hi Mark, It sounds like the issue that you may be running into is the fact that you renamed the .xlsx file within your surveys content folder. By doing this, you have broken the connection to the other functioning components of the survey and the related service. Please try to rename the .xlsx file back to its original name and try again. If you would like to change the name of the survey as it appears within Survey123 Connect 'My Survey Designs' and within the Survey123 field app, you can do so by going to Settings > General > Title and filling in the desired name. This name will then be shown in Survey123 Connect and the Survey123 field app. Please let me know how it goes. Brandon
