Hi, I am assuming that you are referring to the map view when accessed via the Inbox within the mobile field app? Currently, there is not a way to alter/view data symbology within the field app. We do have an open enhancement in our internal backlog related to this functionality, which I will add your comments to. Symbology can be applied and viewed in any ArcGIS Online web map (including the map viewer within the Survey123 website) and should be available with the beta version of Collector for ArcGIS as well. Best, Brandon

Hi Benjamin, There are many ways to alter the location of your geopoint after the survey has been sent. If looking to do so within the field app, using the same device which it was collected from, you can re-open the survey from the 'Sent' folder. When using v.3.0 of the field app, you then have the ability to click on the geopoint question, and enter coordinates into the search bar. In addition, you should be able to move the 'pin' to the desired location and re-send the survey again. This will then update the record within the feature service with the altered location. Another method, would be to utilize the 'Inbox'. More information can be found here... Prepare for editing existing survey data—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS If you are looking to edit the location outside of the Survey123 field app, you can do so just like any other hosted dataset, by using ArcGIS Online. Edit features—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS As for improving the accuracy of the initial location captured, you may want to consider using an external receiver along with the Alpha version of Survey123. This version can be obtained through our Early Adopter Community and has the ability to utilize the GNSS information captured by the receiver Best, Brandon

Hi Nakia, Was this the name of the XLSForm that was used to create your survey? If so, I'm curious what the actual name of your survey is, considering that the current behavior drops all text after the '.' when there is a '.' in the name of the XLSForm being used to create the survey. I was able to create a survey using your form (named 'B') download/submit/view records successfully in the website. Maybe you can share the 'Viewer' view with me using the 'Collaborate' options in the Survey123 website. I will send you my username which you can then invite to a Group and share the Viewer view to that Group.

How was this survey initially created? Using Survey123 Connect, or the web designer? If using Survey123 Connect, would you be willing to share the XLSForm that you used? I will send you a private message in GeoNet which you can respond to with the XLSForm attached if possible. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Karla, Are your respondent's submitting surveys via the web app or the field app? If submitting with the web app, it is not currently possible to configure the setting to submit another record via Connect. If they are using the field app, they should just be able to select 'Collect' in order to load the survey again. Please let me know if this answers your question. Brandon

Thank you for sharing your findings, Susanna. In further testing, it appears that the behavior occurs on several Android devices when using the SwiftKey Keyboard for entry of multiline text questions. I have gone ahead and made note of the issue in our internal backlog. Best, Brandon

You can try something like the following... If 'yes' is selected (meaning it is the same address), the value will not be stored but will display as a note for the user. You will not need the address value as it will be the same as the initial address and there will be a value Y/N stored letting you know that it is the same address. If 'no' is selected they will be prompted to enter their address. Let me know if this works, Brandon

Hi Erica, you will want to specifically select the PDF 417 (as you have done). I have found that attempting at different zoom levels (for me, zoom level 3 with an iPhone 😎 can make a difference. In addition, ensuring you have ample light when taking the photo (consider flash) can help. We are currently looking to improve the ease of scanning PDF 417 barcodes. As for parsing out the string of information that is returned, we do not currently have an out-of-the-box method. Some users have been playing around with building a custom JavaScript function, that would be used with the puuldata function. More information related to custom pulldata() JavaScript functions can be found in our Early Adopter Community.

Hi Carl, Is your survey public, or are you able to share it publicly and provide the custom url link? If not, I have sent you a private message in GeoNet with details regarding how we can test further. Thanks, Brandon

After testing, it looks like I'd be safe to assume that you have added choices to your choice-list after the initial survey creation/publishing, and then republished? If this is the case, the behavior that you are seeing is likely related to the fact that Survey123 Connect does not update the domain after the initial publishing of a survey. It looks like the choices that you added were choices '27' and beyond. [Revised from original] There is a way to manually update the domain by navigating to the Item Details page of the feature service and clicking on the Fields view. From here, you should be able to click on 'Installer' and 'Second Installer' and add the values to the domain. So, you would add the Code '27' and Label as <installer name>, etc.. In the meantime, I will add your experience to an existing discussion in our backlog related to this behavior. Best, Brandon
