Travis, I'll execute the procedure with only the previously idle node and then post the results. Right now I'm generating a large cache and can't stop it. But to clarify our scenario, we've set up 6 new Windows machines to migrate from version 10.0 to 10.3: 1 is the web adaptor running on IIS; 1 serves as a storage; and the other 4 are ArcGIS Servers. There is no load balancer and there is only 1 ArcGIS Server Site. Initially, I've created four clusters having a single machine on each of them, to analyze the results of different kinds of requests against a single web adaptor. The results were not what I expected but it is subject to another thread. This specific test consisted on a 2 machine cluster running System services, including CachingTools configured to run up to 4 instances per machine; and another cluster running a single cached service on a single machine. First attempt was to run a single Manage Map Cache Service tool with more instances than a single machine could handle, so I specified 8 instances. Due to some considerations I've read about cache controller, I've redone this specifying 6 instances. Second attempt was to run multiple Manage Map Cache Service tools, so I've sent two requests specifying 4 instances: one to generate the whole cache at scales 250.000, 180.000 and 115.000; and another to generate the cache for a specific area at scales 60.000, 30.000 and 10.000. Again, due to the cache controller, I've re-run specifying 3 instances for each tool. The results were the same in all attempts: one machine with CPU consumption at 100% and writing a dozen MBps to the storage; while the other was totally idle. I've tried using SystemMonitor and ServicesDashboard but they didn't provide the specific information I needed for this test, so I ended up using Resource Monitor from Windows Server 2012 to gather information about Memory, CPU, Disk Access and Bandwith consumed during the tests. *NOTE: the caches were deleted between each attempt. I've also thought it could be caused by Bundled format, but tests using Exploded one provided the same results.

Hi Travis, I've re-run the tests and I didn't find anything in the logs. I'm experiencing a similiar issue with dynamic services running on a multi-machine cluster. All requests are handled by a single machine. I've checked the firewall and it is disabled in both machines.

I've had this issue and both config-store and server-directories are on a shared folder. I did'nt give much attention to the problem because it starts and works as expected. We are now using version 10.3.

I have two ArcGIS Servers 10.3 running in a single cluster hosting the System/CachingTools service, 4 instances on each machine. When I run Manage Map Cache Tiles tool specifying that I want 8 instances to be used, for single or multiple scale levels, all the work is done by a single machine, therefore, only 4 instances are used. Another test I did was to run multiple Manage Map Cache Tiles tools unchecking "WAIT FOR JOB COMPLETION" flag and different scale levels on each run, but the results were the same: a single machine processed the whole work. Is there any configuration missing in order to be able to use all the computing power of the cluster?

Jim, I pointed that link because at the section "Privileges required for geodatabase creation or upgrade" it states a list of permissions needed to create ST_GEOMETRY type.

I was running a few tests to compare the performance of two dynamic services: one reading our enterprise gdb; and the other reading a local file gdb. Then I ran into the following problem: while requests made to a cached service that was configured to generate tiles on demand were being processed, requests made to services in other clusters were queued until the cache requests completed. The attached image may not be the better form to explain this, but I was trying to illustrate the scenario. The two tabs in the back show two different maps being rendered. The left one shows "pending" requests to the service "ControleLabels" - the enterprise gdb test - and the right one shows "pending" requests to the service "Local_ControleLabels" - the file gdb test. The center tab shows that no instance of ControleLabels neither Local_ControleLabels is in use. The cached service is running under "Cached Services" cluster and the dynamic services are running in a different cluster. Why are the requests being queued? 10.3 testing environment arquitecture: ArcGIS Web Adaptor (web server) IBIASSUCE ArcGIS Server (cached services cluster) / Image Server Extension IBIPITANGA/IBIRATAIA ArcGIS Server (dynamic services cluster) IBIRAPUA ArcGIS Server (real-time services) / GeoEvent Processor Extension IBITITA

I would suggest Collector for Offline use. But if you are targeting mobile and want to keep the user inside your own application, better go for Android or IOS SDK. The javascript experience in a mobile environment isn't as smooth and fluid as a native app would be.

For those facing the same problem, I've created a Custom Geographic Transformation from SAD69 to SIRGAS2000 using the geodesic transformation parameters provided by IBGE (the brazilian institute of gegraphy and statistic):∆X = − 67,35 m ∆Y = + 3,88 m ∆Z = − 38,22 m. These parameters are the official ones since 2005, when the SGB (Brazilian Geodesic System) was updated. Here is the link to the source document I couldn't find the transformation information at the EPSG-Registry.org so I didn't test it. But after our client compared the results of ArcMap default transformation and the custom one, he opted by the custom one that was made using IBGE parameters.

I didn't find transformation information at the registry, just this: http://www.epsg-registry.org/report.htm?type=selection&entity=urn:ogc:def:crs:EPSG::4618&reportDetail=long&style=urn:uui… Can you guide me step by step to find SAD69 to SIRGAS2000 parameters?

I'm trying to create an Enterprise Geodatabse in Oracle 11g hosted in an Exadata environment. The message printed by the tool is: Failed to setup st_geometry type.Failed to create the ST_Geometry metadata tables during install. The log generated is attached as sde_setup.log. I've already checked the knowledgebade and based on this article I've run two sql queries: SELECT OWNER, NAME, TYPE FROM DBA_DEPENDENCIES WHERE REFERENCED_NAME = 'ST_GEOMETRY' AND REFERENCED_TYPE = 'TYPE' AND TYPE = 'TABLE'; SELECT OWNER, TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME FROM DBA_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE DATA_TYPE = 'ST_GEOMETRY'. Both of them returns nothing.

What should I be aware of before trying to reproject a SAD69 feature class to SIRGAS2000? What are the steps needed to accomplish this task? I found this link that points to a program called ProGriD developed by IBGE (the brazilian institute of geography and statistic). Instead of using a third-party software I would like to do it in ArcMap, because in ArcMap I can create a python script to run against all feature classes at once and store the reprojected data in a brand new database instead of modifying the old one. *Note:I 'm not familiar with reprojections. I'm a developer, not a geographer.

If the problem is a WebMap, I think you could build one with JSON without AGOL. Reference: Web map using JSON | ArcGIS API for JavaScript
