When you deploy Local Government 3D Basemaps using the ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Add-In, the outcome is a "Local Government 3D Basemaps" project package. At that point, you can download the package , open it, and you can work with the tasks that show up in the Catalog pane under Tasks. So you don't see any Tasks after downloading the Project Package and opening it?

Hi Logan, I'm sorry to hear you lost your work. From my research, I don't think the pattern has been uncovered yet on what causes this issue. A few questions: Where are you storing your ArcGIS Pro Projects? Do you happen to use OneDrive or Dropbox? Steven (above) noticed that the .aprx file was still there but the file size was 0. Is this the case for you too? Just a thought, but did you ever leave your project open overnight? What antivirus software do you use?

Hi Joe, From the note in the documentation for the Local Government 3D Basemaps solution: ArcGIS Solutions will be deployed in the ArcGIS Pro active portal, and not in your active ArcGIS Pro project. Deploy solution - Local Government 3D Basemaps | ArcGIS Solutions for Local Government So in this case, the Local Government 3D Basemaps Project Package should show up in your content in ArcGIS Online or Portal.

Since it seems like you're using transparency, it does seem related to the defect report that's referenced in the other discussion. The only other thing I can think of is to try to lower the DPI, as I've seen it resolve similar issues.

I think I know what's going on, and it's related to a defect report we have logged: [BUG-000106958 The Split tool fails to create a nested feature inside the parent polygon when the polygon feature class is z-enabled.] FYI - the defect is "In Product Plan", meaning our developers intent to release a fix in a future release. So to use the Split tool to create a donut, you would need to have a polygon that is not z-enabled (not always ideal), so until then I would recommend the following workflow: Select the polygon you want to cut a hole into. Bring up the Modify pane and choose "Continue Feature". Create the polygon that represents the hole (donut) and finish the sketch. This seems like the most efficient workflow.

If you are creating new polygons with holes, you could start creating the outside of the polygon sketch > right-click and choose "finish part" > then sketch the hole (or donut). This is described in the following ArcMap help document, but works in Pro too: Creating new donut holes and island polygons—Help | ArcGIS Desktop

I'd like to understand the use case more, but perhaps the problem you are trying to overcome is specific to the data you are working with? If that's the case, contacting Technical Support would be your best bet.

FYI - Regarding the split tool, in the next release (2.3), you will have the ability to divide a polygon by distances, equal parts, or by a percentage.

Hi Josh, For the snapping issue, you may want to look into creating a case with us in Esri Technical Support ph: (888)-377-4575, as I'm not able to reproduce with my own data in ArcGIS Pro 2.2.4. Perhaps looking into these settings can help: Are you taking advantage of the snapping tolerance setting? - Turn snapping on or off—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop How about the ability to turn snapping on or off for a layer in List By Snapping in the Contents pane? - Turn snapping on or off by layer—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop -Scott

That's very odd that the problem returned. So you opened the same project and the same map, and the problem persists? Had you made any other changes to the map or the data in the map? On my end, I can't reproduce the problem after closing out of Pro and restarting the computer, and then reopening the same project to the same map. That's the thing with bugs, however, sometimes they cause unexpected behavior like this. Now that it is reported to the development teams, they can look into it further, and hopefully have a fix. The good news is: I can't reproduce the bug in the latest (unreleased) build of ArcGIS Pro.

Thanks for checking on that. So if you notice it come back, please let me know the pattern that triggers it. So far, it seems to be when creating new features in the first map of a newly created Project; however, I'd be interested to find out if there are other occurrences. -Scott
