Hey there Jim, The licensing model for ArcGIS for PowerBI has changed! Now to use ArcGIS for PowerBI, you only need to have an active AGOL / enterprise account per this blog: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/power-bi/mapping/arcgis-for-power-bi-whats-new/ In some sense, this is a welcome return to form, but I will add this... ArcGIS Enterprise still reqires the add on license. What the licensing team has done is allocate a large amount of licenses to your myEsri. To take advantage of these licenses, you will have to regenerate your portal json license file with these licenses allocated. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hey there Zachary, Thank you for your patience. Me and a few of my colleagues have been working diligently on synthesizing an answer for you. This workflow, (specifically step 6), describes how to properly set up the device to use a sideloaded tile package for a base map. To be clear, this will pull in the basemap for the entire web map scale, not the web map area. Additionally, this excludes any feature data. According to our research, it is possible to use the basemap TPK generated by the offline map area creation utility, but it involves significant sleuthing around network requests in the web map to find your scope. Word of caution with this workflow: you will only be able to sideload one area per web map in collector, so if you have more than one offline areas this will not be a viable solution. As for performance, would you be able to speak to the challenges you are facing here? Feel free to reply with any other questions.

Hey there Rudolf, ArcGIS for PowerBI is supported on PowerBI Report Server which runs in an online state. Unfortunately, this excludes offline / disconnected environments at this time. Please see the blog from the Microsoft Integration Product Manager below: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/power-bi/announcements/arcgis-for-power-bi-is-now-in-report-server/

Hey there Jason, thank for reaching out. Been a while since I've seen a 10.2 question! I took the liberty of taking a look at your other case and comparing the security warnings. It seems to me that PSIRT is still analyzing these warnings, so its going to be hard to tell if they are apples to apples (versions aside) Due to the nature of the age of the Enterprise deployment, I would encourage you to continue the migration and see if these pop up in the 10.7.x deployment. Please keep me in the loop if this continues to occur there.

Hey there Zachary, Thank you for reaching out! I'm doing some research on this for you. I am interested in the methodology here: specifically sideloading the TPK rather than downloading the offline area directly from ArcGIS Enterprise. Could you clarify your preference here for us? Thanks!

Hey there, Recently the way ArcGIS for PowerBI works with web embedding has changed, reports must now conform to the prerequisites listed here: https://doc.arcgis.com/fr/power-bi/design/publish-to-web.htm (in French!) Once you fulfil the requirements, your report should work again.

Hey there Mark, Thank you for your question. As it stands, there is no way to add two data layers into the same visual. That being said, the functionality you seek may be achieved in a different way using one or more of the techniques below: Join layers: Allows you to join non-spatial data to spatial data already in the visual. It also allows you to join and search this data to reference data. Cross-report filtering: Built in PowerBI functionality and querying also works with our visual. You could feasibly set the report up in such a way that it will filter both customer and competitor data based on a shared attribute. Some ideas to get you started. Please let me know if this helps!

Hello there, So In ArcGIS for PowerBI, there isn't a direct way to input a shapefile, unless it is published to ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online. If the shapefile is, lets say, a zip code or another polygon location type (state, county etc) then this would import as a polygon.

Hey there David, To clarify, are you speaking about using the default image template? If so, you should be able to change it somewhat in the Map viewer: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/use/display-imagery.htm Please let me know if this helps!
