Hey there, I was able to connect to @CameronKroeker who helped me get some details on this. 1) "CertificateFile": "" - The location of the .cer file of the ArcGIS Server host. (This is not the .pfx or .cer with a private key, so no password is required) 2) "Thumbprint": "" -This can be found by opening the certificate details pane (open ArcGIS Server host, click on the lock icon, go to Details and scroll all the way down.) 3) "PortalContext": - This is the alias of the web adaptor for portal (https://esri.com/portal) 4) "ServerContext":Same as above but for ArcGIS Server 5) "PasswordFile": "" - This is a path to the encrypted password .txt file. More detaisl on how to generate this can be found here: https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-powershell-dsc/wiki/V3.-Password-Files-and-Encrypted-Deployments 6) "PathToItemInfoFile": "" - This can be left blank This comes straight from the API, created via https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/enterprise-administration/server/iteminfo-upload.htm As for your last question, you are unable to merge both the configuration and publish actions because they invoke different methods. To Invoke the publish method: Invoke-PublishService -ConfigurationParameterFile.json Versus the Configuration Method: Invoke-ArcGISConfiguration -Mode Install -ConfigurationParameterFile my.json I have given this feedback to Mr. Kroeker, who will update the current sample to include these remarks to make it a bit easier to use. Additionally, he will also ensure that the placeholders get included in the wiki. If you have any issues, please feel free to ask, or better yet post in the github community.

The Near Me widget should work on Map Image Layers, but I have seen some issues with incorrect returns logged as defects for this function. Could you provide me with more details about your environment (versions, step by step workflow)

John, Thank you for reaching out! This particular deployment type was an experiment that did not continue past 10.5.1. I'm taking a look to see if we can get it removed from the listings. That being said, this was rolled up into a different project that should be releasing soon (ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes). This is quite a bit bigger than just an ArcGIS Server Image, but nevertheless should be interesting. Stay tuned for more updates on that!

Hey there Tony, I think I understand what you are asking. So typically in an enterprise deployment there are three-five places you can look at to import your new certificate. Each major component, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS DataStore, by default uses a self signed cert. An environment will work with these, but best practices is to replace these with a CA signed cert for production. Best thing for you to do is to go to the locations of each listed below and see if its using self signed or not. If you find the self signed, I would leave it alone, otherwise replace them with your new certs: ArcGIS Portal ArcGIS Server ArcGIS DataStore Since azure uses IIS rewrite rules, you are most likely not using web adaptors. As such, you may have to import the cert directly into the V2. I looked around for a way to do this and found this article (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/51336/appgateway-v2-certificate-issue.html) ((Not an esri component, so I would double check my work here))

Hey there Tony, are you talking about updating the certificates specifically in the server / portal components or in the appgateway V2?

Hey there, You should be able to set the extent of the vector tile layer via the layer settings in ArcGIS Portal. This should allow you to limit visible extent and default extent. Please let me know if this helps!

Hey there Dave, This is indeed an ArcInfo file: Specifically an ArcInfo Binary Coverage File. Doing some research on this, I found this Technical Article: How To: Convert ArcInfo coverage data to a shapefile using ArcInfo Workstation So newer versions of of Pro and ArcMap wont be able to read ArcInfo files, but with the help of that workflow you may be able to get somewhere with those files.

I don't believe it is public yet, you will have to log a case to see it. Here is the full title: Inability to unregister a replica from the ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 REST endpoint when the server is federated. To be clear: Do not unfederate your current deployment. This will have long term repercussions that will damage your current deployment. Hope that helps!

Hey there, Could you specify whether or not the machine has an existing 10.8 deployment already on it, and you are attempting to install enterprise builder 10.8.1 on that same machine? From your post it reads that you started installing an environment and are trying to use enterprise builder to finish it, is that correct?

After some research, I found out that this is a known issue BUG-000125384 in a federated ArcGIS Server. This defect was logged for 10.7.1, but it also affects federated ArcGIS Servers in the following versions: 10.7, 10.7.1, and 10.6.1. The only known workaround for this is to go to ArcMap and use the Distributed Geodatabase tools to unregister the replicas. That or use another unfederated ArcGIS Server which will not have this issue. Please log a case with Esri Support services requesting that your account be added to this defect.
