Hey there Kristie, I have done some research on the inclusion of voxel layers in ArcGIS Enterprise and can confirm that it is unsupported at this time. I would suggest that your user log an enhancement request / log an idea to request this functionality.

No problems, let me try to clear up the confusion: Microsoft Documentation: it seems like this is out of date, I'll speak to the appropriate folks to get this changed, but it will take some time since we do not have direct lines to the authors of that document. ENH-00130489: Needs to be marked as resolved since we do have publish to web ability The video you referenced discusses requirements the ArcGIS for PowerBI visual must meet. This is in addition to the requirements found in our documentation here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/power-bi/design/embed-report.htm This documentation is the most authoritative source I found on this.

Sure, couple of questions: When you say standard ArcGIS Account, what is that specifically? Is it an account tied to an organization? What type of account is it? What version of PowerBI Desktop are you using? Also please take a look at the requirements found here (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/power-bi/design/embed-report.htm) and make sure you meet them all: You must be signed in to a valid ArcGIS account with the appropriate user type. To create a map-enabled report in Power BI, you must be signed in to Power BI with a Pro or Premium account. Report consumers must sign in to Power BI to view a report in an embedded environment. If the ArcGIS for Power BI visual contains private data, they must also sign in to ArcGIS. Power BI data used to create the ArcGIS for Power BI map must use latitude and longitude coordinates for locations. If the Location field well contains addresses or standard boundaries, publishing to the web will not work. A published map can contain a maximum of 30,000 locations. You must run the ArcGIS for Power BI publishing precheck before generating an embed code for the report. Consumers must sign in to view embedded reports containing secure content.

Hello there Andrew, This is a feature we have an enhancement logged for, if you have maintenance, please submit a case to get your account attached to it ref: ENH-000130420. As it stands, the visual won't export because of a static content issue that has yet to be resolved between our software and PowerBI. Hope this helps!

Replying with my findings. Theoretically, as long as Remote Server has access to the internet, meaning its not completely air gapped, the visual should run. I was not able to find much on PowerBI's side in their docs, but I did find this that may be relevant: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/power-bi-allow-list-urls Are there any specific errors you see on your side when trying to run ArcGIS for PowerBI?

@Henry wrote: The Hosted Feature Layer I'm still having issue with labels popping up with is derived from a PolyLine and is heavily fragmented - so I may have to dissolve it and republish in case there's too many features that it can't label properly. Agree with this statement, good to hear that it worked itself out. Since Map Viewer is still in Beta, I have see some odd behaviors with labeling crop up on complex geometry, this may be what caused it.

I will research this, while I do here is a quick blurb on the relationship between ArcGIS for PowerBI and PowerBI report server: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/power-bi/announcements/arcgis-for-power-bi-is-now-in-report-server/

At this time, PowerBI does not allow iFrame content, which prevents either a web app to run in powerBI or vice versa. This question caused ArcGIS for Power BI to be developed. The visual will allow you to bring in reference layers (with symbology honored if set at the layer level). More information on how this works can be found here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/power-bi/design/add-a-reference-layer.htm A lot of the questions you are asking about security depend on your authentication of choice in ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online. As PowerBI and ArcGIS for PowerBI work with SAML, then there is a chance that it would use the same credentials, but I would not go so far as say it would be a SSO experience.

Hey David, At this time, adding standalone tables is not supported via the ArcGIS for PowerBI Visual. You may be able to add the table directly through PowerBI REST, but this presents some issues: specifically if the table is secured, then you have to refresh the token every two weeks. If the table is non-secured, this issue will not present itself.

Hey there Christian, I haven't seen this behavior on my end when testing, but here are some things you can try: Could you republish the layers you are trying to use as a new hosted feature layer? Could you try using these reference layer in a new PowerBI doc? If you are able, could you share your PBIX so that I can test this out on my end? Thanks!

Hey there Brendan, So in your case this ArcGIS Enterprise is inaccessible online. See here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/power-bi/get-started/supported-env.htm "*This version of ArcGIS for Power BI supports versions 10.7.1 and later of ArcGIS Enterprise in an online environment only. ArcGIS for Power BI does not operate in a disconnected environment." This being said, I have seen certain scenarios where making rules in the VPN enabled the app to work. I am not 100% sure of these configurations (as they are different in every org). I'll research this a bit more.
