Hi EricA, I believe I'm having that same issue - specifically with the XLSX Advanced Form Template. Publishing from older forms that don't have the reserved name sheet works fine. What was your workaround? I couldn't find anything else in my form schema that references the "current_date" reserved field name. Although its possible there's another field unfortunately . . . Is there a recommended method for trawling through the list of reserved names and comparing the two to make sure there's no conflicts? Would simply removing the reserved name datasheet work in the interim? Thank you, Henry

Hi all, We have an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment on an Azure VM. It was initially setup with ArcGIS Cloud Builder for Azure 10.5.1, and has been upgraded regularly. We recently upgraded from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1 (with quite a number of difficulties). This error had been happening before we upgraded our deployment and is a consistent thorn in our side. Whenever I attempt to create a new feature Layer through ArcGIS Portal, or a new Workforce project through the Workforce website, I am unable to. Errors in Portal and the Devconsole of the browser references 502 errors in some form. When creating a Feature Layer through Portal I receive "Unable to load https://webdomain/arcgis/rest/admin/services/Hosted/Test_Layer/FeatureServer/addToDefinition status: 502": In Workforce I receive: Error logs make reference to the Service being created successfully, System/PublishingToolsEx.GPServer starting, and then the service is deleted at the end of the log, as well as 502 errors in response to the addToDefinition operation. Initially searching through technical support documents have lead to these two articles: Troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise on Microsoft Azure—ArcGIS Enterprise in the cloud | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Error: 502 Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server (esri.com) We do not use a webadaptor but rather a URL rewrite that redirects traffic to HTTPs port 7443 and HTTPS port 6443. Have not tried exporting the defaults securesocketlayers from portal/server and then importing them again, as when I have switched from our custom ssl to the defaults I am unable to access Server correctly. Has anyone experienced similar issues between an Azure VM and 502 errors and have a recommended fix?

In addition, when attempting to restore from a previous backup - even with a PSA established, I receive the following error upon running the restoredatastore command: "Error encountered: Failed to generate a token for the user. Incorrect credentials provided." I confirmed that the PSA works when signing into Portal Admin through a browser. Why could this be happening?

Hi all, I have been having an extremely frustrating time upgrading our Enterprise deployment (hosted on an Azure VM) from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1. After successfully getting Portal and Server installed and authorized, the most recent and longstanding issue has been with finishing the DataStore upgrade. Initially, there was a pathing issue and through multiple attempts, the DataStore did not continue to the right place. After successfully (I think) fixing the pathing issue by using the cmd prompt to run the configuredatastore utility to the right directory, I received the following error after about 20 minutes of the utility chugging away. "Configuring data store.... Error encountered: Machine 'https://localhost:2443/arcgis/datastoreadmin' returned an error. 'Attempt to configure data store failed. Caused by: Attempt to configure data store failed. Caused by: Attempt to configure data store failed. Caused by: null'" Has anyone ever encountered a similar error? I have looked briefly for other instances of this problem with no luck. Any advice or guidance offered would be much appreciated. I have reached out to tech support about some of the earlier datastore issues but we did not get very far due to the holidays.

Wanted to update and mention that, after contacting tech support, this appears to be an established bug between ArcMap and ArcGIS Online. Reference BUG-000104720: https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEwNDcyMA== Not sure when it will be fixed or not, but there it is.

So I've tried this same process with a number of other layers added from Portal to ArcMap and every time I create local copies to edit, the attachments do not copy as well. Regardless of size, regardless of my geoprocessing environment set to maintain attachments.

The attachments can be large photos at times and the layer takes several minutes to download completely when initially making a local copy for editing. I have tried the same steps with several of the smaller layers with the same results. I will create a fresh hosted service with a few attachments to test it further. Thanks for the tip! Henry

I have created a support ticket for this issue in the past, which where we settled on the enterprise geodatabase layers being a contributing problem. Our organization also has a longstanding issue with our web adaptor - as the system was set up with Azure Cloudbuilder for Enterprise 10.5.1, and we have been using a series of URL rewrites as a proxy ever since. Installing Esri web adaptors can cause a cascade of issues. Unfortunately that could be another contributing issue regarding user access to these services.

Hi Calvin, I believe the features I am attempting to pull down to create local copies of are Offline Hosted Features services. When looking at their path in REST Service Directory they are under a Hosted folder, whereas the enterprise geodatabase layers are in a different folder. Apologies if this is a silly question, but do you the best way to differentiate between what is referenced from an enterprise geodatabase vs. what is not, either via Portal Administrator or Server Manager? I'm working with several layers that were created before I came on into this position.

Hi all, Have had an issue lately with creating local copies of our organization's services to edit in ArcMap. We are using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 and we have a field team using Collector and Survey123. The layers in question are optimized for Offline use, with Sync and Editing enabled. Essentially every time I create a local copy for editing in ArcMap of a Feature Service, the geographic data copies correctly, but the photo attachments are missing To sum up my workflow and issues I have: Add feature service from portal into ArcMap .mxd I am able to use the Identify tool to view photo attachments to the data Right click and create local copy of data to edit Creates local copy for a while, and then a Feature Class is copied to the FeatureServiceLocalEdits folder in a geodatabase alongside an (empty) attachment table and relationship class. This presents a huge issue because if I were to republish and overwrite the original service with important edits that were made, critical attachments would be missing, and the originals removed. Has anyone has any similar issues or has a solution/workaround? Is there something wrong with the configuration of my service? I have read elsewhere that attachments do not always copy correctly when editing and sync is enabled. I could disable those features but it would cause a disruption to our active field crew and the replicas of the service they may be using. Many thanks
