Hi I got this working fine and its a very handy feature - https://community.esri.com/community/gis/web-gis/arcgisonline/blog/2017/07/18/conditional-field-display-with-arcade-in-pop-ups but would be even better if it could be used for the popup when editing. SO for example if a field is empty the following field is not visible (i used the inline style to collapse the rows: <tr style="visibility:{expression/expr0}" valign="top">) but when editing all the fields are visible in the popups. Is there a way to get this to work in the popups while editing? I am thinking for this when using collector so only relevant fields appear depending on the content of the previous fields. I also noticed that during the testing for the new version of collector was visible in the list of new features, but now it is not there. I noticed there is a new contingent feature in arcpro - is this going to get added to collector? Thanks Joe

From what i can see Its not really what i want. I have a hosted feature layer that is made of of 7 or 8 layers (point lines and polygons) each already with the symbology set for editing. If i want to create a new hosted layer it is possible by just going to the "From Existing Layer" tab and search for the layer however it would be preferable if only the layers visible were templates that are chosen. (similar to an old mxt in arcmap)

I saw that but i didn't see it referring to the list of templates in the screenshot i had above. I will give it a go and see if a template appears there. Thanks

Hi Kelly Have shared this group with you so should be able to see it. The funny thing is from this version I managed to create a new layer no problem at all! This might be an unexplained error on the feature layer I was trying to copy. ANyway problem solved. Thanks for helping! Joe

I am trying to create a new hosted feature layer from an existing hosted feature layer. The purpose is for a new project in collector that uses the same layers but is a completely separate dataset in a different location. I go through The Create > Feaure Layer > From Existing Layer approach: But I get this error when I try: Does anyone know why this might occur? The Feature Layer actually contains multiple layers and related tables. Is this part of the issue. And also is this the easiest way to approach to make a copy of an online dataset for use in collector? It is worth adding that we normally copy layers by creating a new service from arcmap or arcpro but this does not maintain the popup configurations, visibility range, and other settings that would be good to keep fixed and not have to recreate them every time.

If you have point data and polygon data, is there a simple means to calculate the angle (angle A in the picture below) that includes the whole polygon from a point without having to draw lines from the point to the polygon and use these? It looks so simple but I haven't managed to get a simple solution yet..... Many thanks!

Hi Xander - before the legend had lots of items in it visible. When i added a second data frame the legend was still there but completely empty - no items were visible in the TOC or on the layout. It is worth adding I had map series enabled. Not sure if a screenshot will help on that? I currently don't want to recreate it if possible, and lose the legend again! In the end i had to rebuild the legend after adding both data frames in. I find arc pro has lots of features i want but i don't find it that conducive to rapid working. Also the projects add a level of complexity to the system. Maybe I will start to get used to it..... Its a shame because certain things such as how the legend works is loads better. In Arcmap i never got word wrapping to work (words disappeared when that was turned on). thanks joe

I have a Layout set up with a legend with many features linked to the Main data frame, that i spent a lot of time setting up. I then added a second data frame to use as an overview map. The legend still says it is pointing at the main data frame but it seems to have lost all items in the legend layers list. The Legend is now empty (it is not like they have been unticked - there are no items there). Is there a way of adding items back into the legend? See screenshot of legend with no items but still pointing to main data frame?
