Problem: In Survey123 I have cases where users often want to copy and paste rich content into a text field. This includes things like links, images, symbols, tables, charts, formatting etc. But there appears to be no Rich Text field type yet in S123 Connect or Web. Solution: Allow for the creation of Rich Text field types in S123 Connect and Web forms. I've got no idea how feasible this is but if you don't ask.... Why do we want this: In situations where efficiency is key, such as public safety, this would make it much quicker and easier for users to upload content from various sources and mediums (social media, email, text, web, other apps, databases, documents) to Survey123 regardless of content type or formatting. In public safety this would strengthen S123's ability to be the central repository for intelligence, not only collected directly using S123 field app and web forms, but also as the tool to collate all intelligence into from any source.

Hi Owen, I'm having the same issue with this Story Map. Each basemap is a tile layer (albeit the same one in all but one of the tabs) but there are also another one or two vector tile layers in each map to help the performance of each map in loading large datasets at small scales. How many tile layers is too many for one story map? I'm assuming this issue has still not been resolved? I could rebuild using the steps you mention above but because there is so much data with custom configuration it would take me weeks and because there is so many additional vector tiles over and above the basemap I'm not sure the issue would be resolved anyway? Hi All, I'm relatively new to Arcade but can't figure out this When function. I have a Right expression that returns the last three characters of a field $feature.info_headline when applied as a separate arcade expression. However when I apply the same expression as a variable in front of a When expression I get no errors when tested but also no results are returned? Can someone point me where I am going wrong with this expression? Is there a rule about variables I am missing? var right3 = Right($feature.info_headline, 3); var warning_level = When(right3=='Red', 'Red', right3=='nge', 'Orange', 'Watch'); I'm trying to get the expression to populate a new Color Style such that if the last three characters in the field $feature.info_headline are 'Red' the value returned is 'Red', or if he last three characters are 'nge' the value returned is 'Orange', else return 'Watch'. I know there might be some options using nested IIf functions but thought the When function would be simple enough to do what I am trying. Cheers Derek

Update. We think we have linked the issue to a geometry check table generated for the data and published with it to AGOL. Once we exported the data out of AGOL and stripped out the geometry check table and republished it it worked. Having a geometry check table in the service didn't seem to impact editing the data in AGOL with editor widget or if in a web map but the Smart Editor did not seem to like it. It's the only lead we have at the moment. Thanks for the replies.

Anyone out there experts with the Smart Editor and Edit widgets? I have a strange situation where all the settings should allow me to edit existing or add new features to a hosted feature layer (I have checked many, many times) and I can in a web map fine. But when I try with the Smart Editor or Edit widgets in a web app I can edit existing records fine but nothing I do will allow me to add new features. No error messages. Either I digitise the feature and nothing happens (Smart Editor) or the Save button is greyed out (Edit). I suspect this message has something to do with it... ...so I have all my fields displayed on at service, webmap and widget level but some required fields like OBJECTID and GlobalID just will not display in the widget settings. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? Other thing to note is the feature layer already has 25,000 features. Could this cause issues with the widgets but not editing in a webmap?

I've noticed that that when I build a form in S123 Connect and stipulate that some of the fields be mandatory, the mandatory requirement does not carry over to the same fields in the hosted feature layer for that form. I have not tested this but assume this behaviour would be the same for S123 web forms? This is problematic when I may have data editors reviewing the field captured data, or adding new data to the hosted feature layer, using arcgis online but they are not to required to enter anything in the mandatory fields. This means the data risks being inconsistent and critical fields not being populated. Is it possible such that if a field is made mandatory in S123 Connect or Web Form that it will automatically also be mandatory in the hosted feature layer for that form?

Hi There, Does anyone know if there is a way to override the category axis scale in Operations Dashboard? I have a dashboard with many serial bar charts (Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS ) and I want the category axis for each chart to appear the same regardless if a category has any values or not. In the example below each field has a range of possible categories from 0-8 or Don't know, but if those categories haven't yet been selected then the categories will not displace on the y-axis. Tried utilising override function for category axis but to no effect. By default it appears categories with no values will not be shown on the category axis and this can not be changed. I'm aware an idea has been logged (Operations Dashboard - Scale on serial chart ) and I have voted that up but just wanted to check I am not missing something here? Cheers Derek
