Whew! Glad its working. Yes, this would indicate that there is still something about the driver setup that isn't quite there yet. Once those drivers are installed correctly, you should be good to go. Sorry for the hassle - these are the kinks with a major release. Moving to .NET 6 is the underlying cause of the new driver requirements. Please work with Support to get is sorted out. Thank you!

Wait? The projects open, though, correct? In the Catalog pane, if you expand the Maps container, do you see your maps in there? KoryKramer_0-1664406461406.png

Not being facetious here, but how big will that table be on the layout with 83 fields?! 🙂

Hi @DavidWheelock2 I apologize that you ran into this. As you've pointed out, this is a regression bug as the functionality was there and was lost in the move to 3.x. We have the following bug logged: [BUG-000152652: Cannot resize multiple fields at once from the table view] EDIT: For users who are experiencing this issue, please go to https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDE1MjY1Mg== and click the Subscribe button. This will increment the count of affected users and set you up for notifications. Because this is a bug, I'm closing this "idea." Please refer to the ArcGIS Ideas Submission Guidelines and Statuses "2. No bugs please. Idea Exchanges are not the right place to log software bugs or crashes. Keep in mind that just because it isn’t the right fit as an Idea does not mean that we aren’t here to help. Bugs and crashes should be logged with Technical Support. If working in ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro, crashes can be reported by sending an error report. " All that said, we'll get this fixed. Thank you!

Hi Grant. I wanted to close the loop on the thread here - as I indicated in my follow-up email, I was also able to open the additional two projects in ArcGIS Pro 3.0. I shared specific details in my email, but to answer your question of "Has it narrowed the issue to being something specific?" From what I can tell, yes, it appears to be narrowed down to projects that contain Excel tables. Since the projects to open in 3.0 for me, it would point to your machine still not meeting the Access database requirements. Please validate my hypothesis by seeing if you can open the projects where I removed Excel tables. If you can open those, I think it is clear that you still need to get the required drivers installed correctly. Awaiting your response! Cheers

Hi @Anonymous User its good that you understand the explanation. I'm wondering why you feel that is a "work-around". Once you figured out that you could run the tool with your 4 layers labeled and convert annotation for "all layers in the map" can you explain why that method is "annoying"? (Please don't interpret these questions as confrontational - I'm genuinely interested to understand if something is annoying, why...) I think Craig's explanation is really good and made me understand that if the tool were allowed to convert multiple layers at once without each layer's labels taking the others' into account, you could very likely end up with a whole bunch of overlapping or very poorly placed anno. Creating the anno for multiple layers all together then makes sense. Anyway, definitely let us know if there is something about the workflow that could be made clearer and why it is annoying to convert labels to anno as described. Thank you!

With the introduction of las dataset pyramids in ArcGIS Pro 2.6 (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/las-dataset/las-dataset-pyramids.htm) the layer can be displayed in Pro scenes without extent boxes. Build a pyramid for the las dataset and it will draw zoomed to full extent without those boxes. This is an app framework design difference between ArcGIS Pro and ArcScene since ArcScene doesn't support las dataset pyramids.

Thanks for the clarification, Robert. I'll re-open the idea. This "sort of" works as you can add that combobox to the QAT, but it isn't listed which is what is needed to be able to re-order it to where you want it. I'll check with the team on that.

So when you have the final dataset that is the result of merging two datasets, you will have a z-enabled dataset, with some of the features having valid z values and other features in the same dataset having null z values. Correct? Do you draw that data only in 2D? Regardless of z, you would see the features drawn using the x,y values. If this data were to be drawn in 3D, what is the expectation? With no z values, those features should not draw? Interested in learning more about this.

Hi Grant, I did find one .aprx file that was attached to the case with Esri Australia. Was that an example of a project that will not open in ArcGIS Pro 3.0? It opened fine for me in 3.0 and I can see that it contains 3 Excel tables. I removed them and uploaded that project file to the ftp site that I shared with you. Let's see if you can open that project - that will help narrow this down to still being a problem with the Access database drivers required... Please upload other examples of projects that do not open for you to the ftp site that I shared, and I can look at them, but for that one at least, it still seems to be the Excel drivers.

Hi Grant, I was just pointing out that you aren't necessarily "stuck" in 3.0 if you do need to move back to 2.9 to work. Because projects saved in 3.0 will not open directly in 2.9 (because 3.0 is a major release and one of the breaking changes made is that the .aprx file itself is stored in json rather than the old .xml format), an option that you have is to create project packages. Project packages contain both 2.x and 3.x content. So once you have those ppkx's, if you needed to roll back to 2.9, you could open the ppkx and it will open a 2.9 project. Now... as for you sending 3 .aprx files that do not open in 3.0, did you send them to [email protected]? I have not yet received them...
