If what is needed is just a printout of the Fields View, couldn't you just capture a screenshot and print that? I suppose if there were a huge number of fields, this could require some scrolling and multiple screenshots.   Do you picture printing as a PDF?  What formatting capabilities do you envision (fit to one page, multiple pages, orientation (portrait/landscape), tile into a poster of multiple sheets)???  To get a better idea, about how many fields do your tables have where you have the need to print the fields view? William. In a map where you only have the imagery basemap added as a layer, can you create a Bookmark of the area you're exporting?  Then save a .mapx and share that with us?  I think this will give us the bookmark of the extent where you're working. Thanks ... View more

Interesting idea.  I'm curious how you envision it working.  Like with Catalog View I have Preview so that I can look at metadata, preview datasets (and even preview entire maps from the project), manage styles, import, export, edit metadata, etc. etc. So when you need to do all of the above, you want full view with preview, all the capabilities, but then you might want to dock the "unified Catalog" as a pane?  What happens then?  If you select something when in "pane mode" do you expect all the stuff as seen above?  Where would you expect to see things like preview?  Or edit metadata if you are working in a map with "unified Catalog pane mode"?  Or the vision is for something totally new that doesn't use a view or a pane?   ... Kelly Livingstone‌ What is the RDBMS and version of your enterprise gdb? When you upgraded the dataset in Pro I'm assuming you did that on a copy, right?   So if you're back in ArcMap, all annotation displays correctly directly from the enterprise geodatabase feature class. If you export that to a file geodatabase feature class, all is well in ArcMap?  If not, troubleshooting starts here. If all is well with the file gdb anno, add that to Pro.  Does everything display well?  If not, troubleshooting starts here. I guess we'd have to have specifics.  I just ran Create Project Template with a project containing a couple of maps, a couple of layouts, some layers from a local file gdb, other layers from a folder connected to by UNC path, checked Share outside of organization, and Cancel worked immediately.   It did take a split second longer once I let it get to the compressing stage, but I didn't experience a hang where Cancel just didn't work. ...general whinging "it doesn't work good" will be passed over by Esri. Not passed over, just not actionable.  General whinging is really frustrating for development teams.   What we need to do is show provable and replicatable examples of how it does not perform properly in specific cases, and how there is a demonstrable difference between Desktop and Pro in the same operation. Absolutely!  This is productive, but admittedly, is the hard part that may (will likely) require time troubleshooting on the user side if we cannot readily reproduce a performance issue from a given description.  We are committed to continually improving performance and we'll be much more successful accomplishing that by working together to get to the cause.  Thanks for the balanced assessment Andrew Quee‌ ...
