Feature service and map image service labels display dynamically for me in AGO's Map Viewer Classic, but not in AGO's new Map Viewer - try this test map. I guess we will just use the classic viewer for the instances where this labeling is an issue.

@RussRoberts Thank you for clarifying. I suspect that most ESRI customers will be frustrated by this new behavior. Do you know if there are any alternative recommendations for users wanting more dynamic label placement? We already have internal customers asking to revert our data back to older ArcGIS Server map services

@RussRoberts I'm still only seeing centroid label placement in both of my AGO orgs using the new Map Viewer. Would you suggest I contact Tech Support? Here is an example using a test layer I just published to AGO: Labels enabled: Then, after panning the map - no labels:

When you reboot, the Primary role switches to the Standby machine. Did you try running a "describedatatore" command on the *new* Primary Data Store machine? That should give you more details

I would look over the ArcGIS Enterprise system requirements for Windows or Linux here - https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/system-requirements/latest/windows/arcgis-enterprise-overall-system-requirements.htm. If it's a single machine deployment, it's pretty simple to modify the instance type after deployment, if your original selection doesn't meet your needs. Advice, create an Amazon EventBridge rule using Lambda to stop/strat your dev instances when not in use to save some dough. This video can help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tniZDP4PDz0

I spoke with @GarimaTiwari from ESRI at the UC about this. She said to follow these steps: Upload the 1st tile package Publish it Upload the other packages Use the REST API Import Tiles operation to import those other pacakages into the first published service I'm hoping to try this soon, but if you beat me to it, please let me know how it goes.

This is the article I referred to a while back to help me understand why one would want to use the Web Adaptor AND a load balancer. Not sure if this helps your situation, but could be worth a look: https://community.esri.com/t5/implementing-arcgis-blog/planning-load-balancer-configuration-for-highly/ba-p/886972

What are you doing for DNS? Route53? Another DNS host? Are you using Web Adaptors? We use Route53 domains with 3rd party SSL certs imported into AWS ACM. Those Route53 domains point to the ALB endpoint. We also use the ArcGIS Enterprise web adaptors as well. We have a very similar deployment to yours, but have never seen any GuardDuty warnings like yours. I'm wondering what is different about your deployment. That could help us troubleshoot your issue.

Every time I run the Extract Package gp tool where I am extracting a large (100 Gb+) .tpkx file as Ready-to-Serve content to a Cloud Data Store (AWS S3), it fails with a 99999 error. This process works fine on smaller tpkx files. There is no limitation on the S3 side. Any ideas? I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2 with a Cloud Storage Connection File. I've been using this ESRI Blog Post as a guide. @GarimaTiwari

I'm now using ArcGIS Pro 3.1 and I see they've added the "Create Multiple Packages" option to the Create Map Tile Package gp tool. The documentation on this isn't too detailed. Is the idea that I would publish these multiple packages as individual hosted tile services and combine all of those tile services into one map or is there a way to bring these multiple tile pacakages back together into a single hosted tile cache? I successfully created some sample tile pacakages using this new Create Multiple Packages option and shared them both with AGO. I haven't found a way yet to combine them back into a single hosted tile cache though. When I bring them both into an AGO map, the order of the tile caches is important to remember or you risk displaying small scale tiles over larger scale tiles. If anyone knows more about how these "multiple packages" are intended to wrok, I'd like to know. Thanks for your feedback.

I have not yet found a way to do this, but I haven't worked on it in a while. Maybe our newer version of ArcGIS Enterprise will help (11.1). I may ask at the ESRI UC also. If you figure something out, I'd be interesting in hearing how it went.

The remaining LSA we have is only used by non-Pro users on premise. We have never used the LSA to manage Pro licensing. We've always done that through AGO and now starting to manage some of those with Portal. Most of our Pro users use both Portal and AGO, but their licensing is managed by AGO. They can still edit feature services hosted in both environments that way. No LSA in play for us with our Pro users.

We don't use the License Server Administrator with Pro. We run all of our license management through AGO or Portal. We do still have a few License Server Administrators running locally for our ArcMap stragglers. Early on, we just split our licenses between an on-prem License Server Administrator and another one running on an EC2 instance in AWS.

We've used Workspaces here and there over the years, but we still connect to Portal & AGO in ArcGIS Pro from other EC2 instances daily and have since Pro was first launched. In all instances, performance has been a significant improvement over local networks. Most organizations cannot match the infrastructure that the cloud providers offer - unless all of your users are located in one place with a fast LAN and good internet capacity. The good news is that you can test this performance fairly easily. Even if you don't have Enterprise Portal set up in AWS yet, you could try connecting Pro on Workspaces to AGO-hosted features to test out performance. Either way, one of the best features of cloud computing is how simple is to set up a test/dev environment.
