Hi, The SHARED_LOCATION and BACKUP_LOCATION doesn't seem right. As you said, you have multi-machine deployment, the SHARED_LOCATION,BACKUP_LOCATION should be a file share which can be accessed by all your enterprise component, portal, server and datastore, which means the account you use to run portal, server and datastore in windows, should be able to access the file share (UNC path) Hope this helps.

I don't think you've missed any settings, it's just the map viewer version - the map viewer in AGOL is at least major updates ahead of the version in the ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1. the map viewer in the last Enterprise is way better... You have actually figured out the only option: "It would seem my only option would be to add each individual layer from the service and the add to a group. I tried this for one of the services and the draw performance takes a hit. " The performance issue is caused by rendering the feature services in the browser, I imagine you have quite a few features to draw or complicated symbols are involved. when you add individual layers you are using the feature services instead of the map service. Sorry I know this may not be very helpful...

Assuming you are using windows machines, ask your IT to turn off the anti-virus software on the server components to see if that improves the performance. If it does, you can ask your IT department to exclude the ArcGIS software on the servers and turn on the anti-virus software. for example: Portal for ArcGIS: C:\arcgisportal C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal ArcGIS Server (Hosting): C:\arcgisserver C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server C:\Program Files\ESRI C:\Python27 C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\ C:\Program Files (x86)\MCC mon Files\ArcGIS\ C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\ ArcGIS Data Store: C:\arcgisdatastore (assuming content is stored on D drive) C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Datastore REF: https://trust.arcgis.com/en/customer-documents/ArcGIS_Enterprise_AV_Guidance.pdf Hope this helps.

It really depends on your environment architecture and the nature of the services, are they hosted or referenced? are they sharing the same geodatabase, etc. in terms of preserving the itemid, yes you can preserve the item id when you are cloning the items. see details here: https://developers.arcgis.com/python/latest/api-reference/arcgis.gis.toc.html#arcgis.gis.ContentManager.clone_items

step 1, run the registerdatastore utility tool https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/data-store/latest/install/windows/data-store-utility-reference.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_AD1036510727497D97CCF848B9671565 if that doesn't work, step 2, run the unregisterdatastore utility tool, then run the above registerdatastore tool. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/data-store/latest/install/windows/data-store-utility-reference.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_FC8C7800AB4D42179D9A804F348EBF19 unregisterdatastore utility tool won't delete the data. I've used it several times. Step 3, restart the datastore and run describedatastore utility tool https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/data-store/latest/install/windows/data-store-utility-reference.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_5ECEA8B5F835454CB7D0DBC942BB4FDB Check the "Owning system url", make sure it's pointing to your hosting server.

What do you mean by saying "The documents and polygons share a common ID"? the key is to get the map from ID and document URL. then you can create a related table in your enterprise Geodatabase. This is static though. It will be tricky to have a seamless system integration, still possible if you can infer the document url from the ID.

I am having some issues when trying to update the popup a category layer. Here is what I did: step 1. add a new field to the feature layer associated with the building scene layer in ArcGIS Pro step 2. configure the popup in the associated feature layer in AGOL Map viewer step 3. rebuild the scene layer cache using full cache option in AGOL but when I check the scene, the popup for the related building scene layer in the web scene remain unchanged. The only way to change the popup is to change the schema in the original data source, config the popup and share the scene again from ArcGIS Pro, this is not ideal for my situation. Has anyone been through this? any advice or comments are highly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I agree - restart all your servers and see how it goes. System restoration is always the last resort. @wizgis Good luck with the upgrade.

in webgisdr.properties file, you need to specify the SHARED_LOCATION and BACKUP_LOCATION. they are not related to your Datastore backup location. Your portal, server and datastore machine need to have access (R/W) to the SHARED_LOCATION

For the BUG you mentioned, Esri has a patch for it: ArcGIS Server Hosted Services Restart Patch (esri.com) I know it's a bit too late to mention this, because you've rolled back the upgrade using "Windows backup", not sure if it is a so-called snapshot of the machine. If your snapshots covers all the ArcGIS Enterprise components, you should be able to restore your 10.9.1 environment... but if the snapshots are not complete, e.g. the portal content directory and server config store were not saved at the same time, you may not be able to restore your system using the snapshots. If you can't rollback your system using the snapshots, you still have WebGISDR backup, you can reinstall 10.9.1 and restore Enterprise using the backup. Maybe follow up your current issue with Esri Support, see if they can help you with the system restoration.

You are almost there, just put your code in the layer iteration: m = aprx.listMaps("map name")[0]
for lyr in m.listLayers():
if !lyr.isGroupLayer:
arcpy.management.SaveToLayerFile(lyr,'output_path', 'RELATIVE') Something like above, but I haven't tested code myself.

something to do with your account rather than the browser? Normally when you use Edge you are already signed in using your corporate account. when you use another computer make sure your browser is also logged in using your account. Maybe check the ArcGIS for PBI authentication, see if you can get any clue from there. Good luck.

You mentioned you are using domain for that field: "I have a field (Cleanliness_Rating) with a text value (from a Domain) of 1-xyzxyzx..." To get the descriptive value, you should use DomainName($feature, 'Cleanliness_Rating'), please give it a try. https://developers.arcgis.com/arcade/function-reference/feature_functions/#domainname

Not sure what type of development environment you are using... Maybe try different authentication method, such as user authentication. It seems you are using App authentication which has some limitations. Please see if the following doc helps https://developers.arcgis.com/documentation/security-and-authentication/introduction/

If cartography is critical to your application, can you use map image layer or tile layer? these layers are pre-rendered in ArcGIS Pro or dynamically rendered on the server. Feature layers are rendered in the browser and as you observed, with simple symbols. Please see the ArcGIS layers types below for more information: Layers—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation
