That sounds like like a great idea. My first instinct would be to set up a secondary, secured feature service into which records from the public feature service are QA'ed/QC'ed and then copied. Both data security and the quality of data collected by the general public are very valid concerns. This setup would address both, and would also allow you to empty the features out of the public feature service periodically (daily, weekly, etc) which would also minimize your exposure. Just my opinion Hannah

Hello Nathan, The map in the Quick Report Template is currently only used to provide a visual reference for finding your location. The map is not interactive. This is the expected behavior. What features would you like to see from the location map in the Quick Report Template? - Hannah

QuickFields are only applied to the map (.apm) - not in the data (.axf). When ArcPad is in Design Mode - selecting the QuickFields tool will allow you to add and remove expressions. Make sure that all of your expressions have been deleted; When ArcPad is NOT in Design Mode - selecting the QuickFields tool will switch QuickFields ON and OFF for your specific map (.apm). Make sure QuickFields is turned OFF for your map.

When you collect the first feature after enabling QuickFields with a Sequential ID, you will be prompted to enter the starting value. All subsequent features captured will increment from this initial value. Hope this helps, Hannah

A couple of things to try: Build in QtCreator 1 - Browse to the output folder of your failed build. There, you should find a Project folder with an appstudioapp.pro file inside it. Open this file in QtCreator. 2 - Make sure that QtCreator is pointing to your Android Kit and run the following tools from the Build menu: Run qmake Rebuild Project Build in Admin Command Prompt 1 - Browse to the output folder of your failed build. There you should find a Scripts folder with a build-android.bat file inside it. 2 - Open a Command Prompt as an Administrator. Browse to the above location and run the bat file. Please let me know if you are able to successfully build your project using either (or both) of these methods. This will help us to further narrow down your build issues. Thanks, Hannah

Could you try setting the refresh interval on your map and creating your app again? The Map Viewer Template should support this functionality - if it does not, a bug will need to be raised Set refresh interval—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

I have not been able to reproduce this issue myself - but the error message makes me think that there was no build output. Did you get an email letting you know that the build was successful? Can you log into ArcGIS Online and look for the item there? It should be listed in the My Apps folder. If the item is there - please delete it and request another build. Then can you download and unzip the item from here to find the .dmg file? I am hoping that the only issue here is that the download button is available slightly before the build output has finished uploading. What happens if you don't hit the download button until a few minutes after the build has completed? Sorry for the barrage of questions, Hannah

Hello Robert, Are you using the same output folder for each of your builds? I would recommend creating new output folders for each build, or completely deleting the previous folder before attempting another build. Thanks, Hannah

While I look through your build log - could I ask you to run the post-install tool? This script can be found in the ~/Applications/ArcGIS/AppStudio/sdk/ideintegration folder. It will make sure that all of the AppStudio files are properly integrated with your Qt 5.4.1 installation. Could you please run this script and build again and let me know if it helps? Hannah

Thanks Jonathan, The templates have been designed to make it easier for organizations to have a presence in the Apple and Google app stores. This is why they only work with public data - they are for building public facing apps. If you have other requirements for the templates - please raise them as issues with Technical Support. This will help drive the development of future templates. Thanks, Hannah

The qmake files are located in your Qt 5.4.1.Kit install location. For example, the qmake file for Android can be found in the Qt5.4.1/5.4/android_armv7/bin folder. The IFW Install Folder location is asking for the install location of the Qt Installer Framework (e.g., Qt/IFW2.0.1). Let know if you still having trouble building, Hannah

Jonathan, Relax - it's not you. The templates are designed to only accept public webmaps as an input. You will need to make sure that your data is public before you can use it with the AppStudio Templates. Please see the requirements for each of the templates here: Configure Map Viewer—AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition (Beta) | ArcGIS Configure Map Tour—AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition (Beta) | ArcGIS Configure Quick Report—AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition (Beta) | ArcGIS Thanks, Hannah

To test/run your AppStudio Projects in QtCreator, use the AppStudio Player environment. We have included all of the AppStudio Tools under the Tools/External/AppStudio menu. Make your main qml file the active document, then browse to Player (or hit alt+P) to launch the project. You can use the other shortcuts to upload your app to ArcGIS Online, or make a build request without leaving QtCreator.
