Interesting question, John... Survey123 forms are not HTML and cannot be styles using CSS. However, there are already options available in Survey123 to style your surveys. Use the Style tab under Settings in Survey123 Connect: More hot tips for styling up your forms can be found here: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/create-surveys/styleyourform.htm But, if you want more control over the look and feel of the different question types in Survey123, I would absolutely suggest downloading AppStudio for ArcGIS and cracking open the Survey123 source code (available as a developer sample). This way, you can make changes as you wish and build your own custom version of Survey123. Hope this helps, Hannah

Hello Jarom, Unfortunately, this is a known issue in Survey123. You can workaround this issue by putting your default values in the calculation column. Please remember to include any string values in quotation marks e.g. "no". Hope this helps, Hannah

Hello all Survey123 Users, There will be a new update of the Survey123 for ArcGIS app coming very soon! But before then, here is some important information for existing Survey123 users: Form items in Survey123 You may have noticed that your surveys are currently being stored in ArcGIS Online as a Code Sample. In Beta 3, this will be replaced with a new Form item type. Any new surveys published with the Beta 3 version of Survey123 Connect will be saved as Form items. Only the Beta 3 version of Survey123 will be able to download and work with these Form items. If you publish a survey using the Beta 3 version of Survey123 Connect, you will not be able to use it in the Beta 2 version of the Survey123 app. Any existing surveys that were created as Code Sample items will still be available to use in the Beta 3 version of the Survey123 app. Disable Automatic Updates in iOS In preparation for the Beta 3 release, we recommend that all users of the Survey123 for ArcGIS app on iOS make sure that all data collected on their device has been submitted before updating to the latest version. This may involve disabling automatic updating for the Survey123 for ArcGIS app. Currently, Survey123 for ArcGIS does not preserve survey data after an update on iOS. This issue will be addressed in a future release of Survey123 for ArcGIS. Thank you, Survey123 for ArcGIS Team

Hello Robbi, Randall is spot-on with his instructions to register the Client ID for Survey123 with Portal 10.3. However, we have also seen issues with people attempting to log into Portal with identity management software, such as Okta, on their network. We have made improvements to this workflow in the next release of Survey123 that should allow you to successfully log into Portal when you have Okta on your network. So keep an eye out for an announcement for the Beta 3 Release of Survey123! Hannah

Have your tried casting your values as integers? int(${value_1}) + int(${value_2}) should give you the sum of the integer values instead of concatenating the strings. - Hannah

Mark, I was able to successfully reproduce and fix your issue - could you please add .json to the list of mimetypes on your web server? Then stop and start your Default App Pool and you should be good to go! Let me know if this fixes your problem, Hannah

It depends on your definition of 'project'... If you are using Collector to add features to a feature service, you can absolutely, 100% edit the same feature service using ArcPad: ArcPad Help ArcPad is not able to use your pop-up definitions - but you will get a set of default ArcPad forms that you can customize to your hearts content You will still have the option to sync your edits back to the feature service in the field, or store edits locally. So yes, you can edit the same data with both products - it will just be preparing the projects for the field that will be different. Hannah

Lori, Apologies for the late reply, I have been reproducing your issue and working with our developers to explain your issue... You are correct - when Survey123 for iOS is updated from the App Store, you will no longer be able to access any previous draft surveys or surveys in your outbox. Good news - they have not been deleted, they still exist, but the path to the records has changed with the update. I can get your records back for you, but the process is a little complicated. You will need to manually update the path values in the database. Let me know if you need the details. Bad news, this issue will not be addressed until after the next release. Please make sure that you have submitted all surveys on your device before the next update of Survey123 is installed on your device. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, Hannah

You can build powerful apps using just QML and JavaScript. And not all QML is visual - to create your own QML component, just use an Item without setting any visual elements. E.g., import QtQuick 2.4 Item { id: _person property string firstName: "Hannah" property string lastName: "Ferrier" } Once you have created your component, you can save it in a QML file and copy this file into as many different projects as you want. Same with JavaScript - write your code once and then copy the files to be used in different projects. Further reading: Item QML Type | Qt Quick 5.6

Heathcliff, In AppStudio for ArcGIS, you currently have available to you all of the features in the Qt QML API as well as the power of the ArcGIS Runtime and the AppStudio Framework. What specific functionality are you missing? You can already populate a ListModel in QML from XML: XmlListModel QML Type | Qt Quick 5.6, or does your project require something more? Hannah

Hi Jarom, There is nothing in Survey123 at the moment that can create and export your completed survey as a PDF, although you may have seen a demo from the Developer Summit that showed the ability for Survey123 send surveys to Bluetooth receipt printers... We do have this feature in our backlog, so if it is essential to your projects to export surveys to PDF, please let us know in the comments! - Hannah
