Hello, My number one question regarding the CCTV Processor is how do I go about changing the coordinate system to something more appropriate for my own project? The schema XML file has a preset coordinate system and I do not know how to go about changing it. Thank you for the help!

Finally an answer. This behavior is occurring because the service definition (SD) file has been deleted from your ArcGIS Online account at some point in time. When you publish your hosted feature service, a SD file is automatically created. If you have this along with the hosted feature service, you should be able to overwrite your service as expected. However, if the SD file has been deleted, you will experience what is being described in this post. This is a bug that Esri is aware of but it is not an escalated bug. There is no timeframe when it will be fixed. You should not have to keep the SD file once the hosted feature service has been published. Rule of thumb for now, keep the SD file for a hosted feature layer you know you may need to overwrite.

Other times earlier this week, I would try to republish, and after I selected the Continue button on the Overwrite an Existing Service and answered "Yes" to continue, nothing would happen. I would just be returned to my MXD. Again, if I tried it over and over, it would eventually work. I have ArcGIS for Desktop 10.3 running and I'm experiencing exactly what is posted above by Susan. I follow the easy steps to share a service by going to File>>Share As>>Service and then select the option Overwrite an existing service in the Share as Service dialog box. I then click Next and choose the service I want to overwrite and then click Continue. A Warning Message pops up (below) asking me to continue with the overwrite so I click Yes and NOTHING HAPPENS. It boots me out to my ArcMap session. I keep trying and trying and I get nothing. Any suggestions?

I'm not a Server or Google Earth expert by any means; however, I was able to successfully establish a KML file from the REST url provided by publishing a service through server. This service has feature access capabilities and I did enable the HTML pop-up tool in ArcMap for the particular layer I want information to show from before publishing; however, when I open up Google Earth and bring in the network link, I click on an asset to see the attributes and nothing happens. First and foremost, is this even a possibility and second, If it is possible, what am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance!

Hello Mark, yes I am referring to specific widgets such as the bar or pie chart widgets. I have double and long integer fields but I do not see them but when I add a short integer field, I see it. Why would the widgets not honor any type of number field?

I called ESRI technical support and we walked through a few troubleshooting options. Both of my ArcGIS for Server and SQL Server Express services were not running. It was by luck we found a solution to my problems which are provided in the steps below: The database connection on ArcCatalog was not working so we tried a database connection on SQL Server Management Studio; it was not working either. By doing this, we were sure that the connection issue was not specific to ArcGIS software. Since the database was installed on my local machine, there were not any network issues involved. We went to the Services window and tried to restart the SQL Server service but got the error "Error 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure.". We found this KB article from Microsoft's website: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282254 I opened up the SQL Server Express properties and clicked on the Log On tab and retyped the password for the SQL Server service account. I tried starting the service and just like magic, the database connection was working. We did the same thing with the ArcGIS Server service and this did the trick as well. After further review, ESRI technical support came to the conclusion that my SQL Server Express is called a Virtual Account on a local computer. Services that run as virtual accounts access network resources by using the credentials of the computer account in the format domain_name\computer_name. When specifying a virtual account to start SQL server, you could leave the password blank. So this means, I didn't need to type anything in for the password of NT Service\MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS (my SQL Server Express log on). I just thought I would share my findings in case anyone needed it.

I'm relatively new to Dashboard and I am trying to use some hosted Feature Services from my ArcGIS Online for Organizations account and for some reason when I am wanting to add a widget, I do not see any of my data types that are double or long integer. Does Dashboard only support short integer data types?

I installed ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2 Enterprise Advanced on my local machine and established quite a few connections in ArcCatalog which were successful. I was also able to establish a connection to my manager via localhost:6080/arcgis/manager and everything was working perfectly until this morning when I turned on my computer. I tried to access my manager and it just gives me a blank page. I installed SQL Server Express yesterday so I could establish an Enterprise Geodatabase and was also successful in doing so; however, I cannot connect to my manager now and I have no idea why. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure if they are entirely related but it is the only thing I can think of. Thank you in advance!

I was able to successfully install an Enterprise Geodatabase yesterday before leaving work; however,I turned my computer on this morning and for some reason, I cannot connect with my server via localhost:6080/acgis/manager. Would installing SQL Server Express have something to do with this? I had a lot of connections through ArcCatalog which are not working as well.

Since I have a Server Enterprise Advanced Licensed, I would assume that I would want an Enterprise Geodatabase; however, this is very new to me. I would like to author my map services with an Enterprise Geodatabase so i can author my map services for out in the field editing.

Am I supposed to choose one of these options to establish my Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE)? If I'm reading the help topics correctly, establishing the database server is for a Workgroup license right? I can establish a connection to the server but I tried creating a Geodatabase under the server node and it brings up a dialog box stating that it is not licensed. This is quite confusing!
