We have some use cases for what I am calling "Temporal hotels". By this I am describing a hotel that has a time component as well as a space component. Our organization has more people than office space, and we have set up Indoors as our hotelling / reservation solution. However, some groups share the same space, but on different days. We would like to be able to take a given space and allow different sets of users to reserve on different days. For example: Assign 20 cubicles to a hotel. Allow one group of people to reseve on M,T and a different group on W,T. Let both groups reserve it on F. Perhaps it could be controlled at the hotel level by including days of the week and allowing units to be assigned to more than one hotel. Create one hotel called "Hotel A" configured to only accept reservations for M,T,F.and assign 20 units to it. Create a second hotel called "Hotel B" configured to only accept reservations forT,W,F and assign the same 20 units to it. Different groups of people can then be assigned to the two hotels.

ArcGIS Enterprise supports cross-origin by default. If you add domains to the "Allow Origins" list in Portal, it will LIMIT access to just those domains. This list doesn't "allow", it "restricts to": "By default, an ArcGIS Enterprise portal allows cross-domain requests via Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). This means a JavaScript client such as a web application hosted on any domain can connect to your portal's resources. To restrict requests from specific domains for JavaScript applications, you can configure your portal to only trust certain domains. You'll do this by adding domain names to the list of allowed origins in your ArcGIS Enterprise portal's security settings. This reduces the possibility that an unknown application could send malicious commands to your web services."

For ArcGIS Server, installed as part of ArcGIS Enterprise, the default instance type is "Shared". When we installed all of our AGE components, we left the default settings in place. Today I noticed that our two image servers each hvae the default instance type set to "dedicated". Is "dedicated" the default for Image Server, unlike other ArcGIS Server roles? Is there a reason to leave it as is? My instinct is to change it to "shared", but mayube this is by design?

I've installed ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1.1 and I'm attempting to install the Web Adaptor 11.5. Each time I try to register with Monitor server I get the error below. I have verified the server name and the admin account name and password are correct. Should I be using the 11.4 version instead? Unable to configure ArcGIS Monitor with the web adaptor. Please make sure that the version of ArcGIS Monitor supports registration with the current version of the Web Adaptor.

I think you answered the questions I couldn't. An AM Agent can't send data to two different ArcGIS Monitor servers, and two AM Agents can't ben installed on a server to send data to two different ArcGIS Monitor servers. Thank you.

We are preparing to set up ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 or the latest version when we begin. We will be monitoring nearly two dozen servers. Previously we had ArcGIS Monitor 10.8 set up in a Dev / Prod configuration where the Dev version was primarily intended to test upgrades and configuration changes before applything them to the Prod version. They essentially monitiored all the same servers and services. In that version, there was no Monitor Agent installed on the machines being monitored. Now that a Monitor Agent is required on each server to be monitored, what is the recommendation for a Dev / Prod configuration? Can the Monitor Agent connect to two different ArcGIS Monitor hosts? Can two instances of the Monitor Agent be installed on each server to be monitored? Is a Dev version of Monitor even recommended?

Good info, thank you both. I am hoping to be able to identify Portal items that use branch versioning and their owners. Since branch versioning requires as Advanced Editor license, and those are limited in our Portal, I'm thinking we will need to verify that a user with that license actually needs it. One way to do that might be to look at the items they own or have access to and see if any of them use brach versioning. In the scenario of using ArcGIS Manager to look at individual services' capabilities --- how could we at a minimum identify the owner of the service? I know how to look at a Portal item and find out what AGS service it is using, but how to you look at an AGS service and know which item it is tied to in Portal?

Can the route graphic be floor aware in the mobile app? I see that when I ask for directions from one point to another the route is drawn in a single line symbol even if the route changes floors. And the route remains visible when you change floors, so it may look like the route is going through forbidden spaces because it is displaying on a floor that it doens't even traverse.
