Hi Carl, thanks for you question. Could give an example of what values you'd like to have saved? If you can also go into some details on when the need for this comes up, that would help us to understand your use case. thanks, Craig

Hi Mike, We do not have any plans for this type of capability at this time. My suggestion would be to add this to the Ideas site; if others have the same requests that will help us to prioritize this capability. thanks,

Hi Erick, There was in an issue yesterday that can be tracked to a cooling issue in the Azure infrastructure. Here is a blog on what happened: https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/news/microsoft-azure-suffers-outage-after-cooling-issue/ https://twitter.com/AzureSupport/with_replies This should be addressed - but if you're still running into issues, your best recourse is to contact Tech Support to be updated on the status. Ming, Unfortunately, you're running into a limitation with Workforce, the inability to support other layers/tables is As Designed. It is something we have in our backlog for inclusion in a future release, but the work has not been assigned to a release. Craig

Josh, Can I ask that you run the same tests I asked above? What happens when you use a non-Apple app that uses location, such as Collector, Waze or Google Maps? thanks, Craig

Hello Derck, thanks for you questions on Workforce. I replied to your colleague, Deon, over email on this. The summary is that this is a known issue with the Android version of Workforce and is planned for our next major release.

Hi Brent, thanks for you question on Workforce. Workforce supports a single Project Owner at this time; i.e. is it not possible to have multiple project owners \ users who can change the project through the Workforce application. I've added your information to the issue in our backlog requesting this capability. Depending on your situation, the following trouble shooting article may help you: Troubleshooting for project owners—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS

Donovon, Are you able to invite me to the project as a Worker so I can take a look? You can DM any specific information on this, including repro steps so I know which feature to tap on. Craig

Hello Andrew, Thanks for your feedback and questions. The ability for Workers to self-assign, and for the corresponding work in the Project configuration to support this, will follow our next major release for Workforce which is focused on Offline support. That is tentatively scheduled for Q4 of this year. The ability to create new assignments in the mobile app is a separate issue in our backlog. This ability is is in our longer term Roadmap and I don't have it assigned to a release at this time. In the interim, several users have used the workflow of Collector or Survey123 to create assignments. We've also authored several blogs on how to do this: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/apps/field-mobility/workforce-and-collector-creating-assignments-in-the-field/ Blog discussion: Creating assignments in the field with Workforce and Survey123 I agree that, using paper to track this work negates some of the benefits of using a mobile app; our goal is for Workforce to be better than paper and for your mobile workers to not use paper for any of their field work. Thanks again for the feedback, look forward to any thoughts or comments you have. Craig

Hi Charlie, thanks for this additional info, I've added it to our backlog. It's an interesting idea and solution to the issue of allowing workers to easily get back to Workforce and putting control in their hands. I don't have a timeline on when we'll consider this, as our next few releases are already planned out. It could also help adding this to the ArcGIS Ideas site. Craig

Hi Charlie, You're correct that Workforce has a url scheme with which it can be opened, however, it does not support parameters that would trigger any actions in the app. This is something we've considered, but as stated above, we haven't received many requests for this capability. If you can go into some detail on your use case or scenario, that would help us with prioritizing this issue. Craig

Paul, This comment seems a little different than the comment in the original question: "That seems really inefficient. What if you make a mistake on one of your dispatches, now you have junk stuff in there you can't get rid of. I can see them wanting to have a permanent record of dispatched but there should be some sort of archive. That is just clunky". This comment is geared towards making a mistake and wanting to get rid of that Assignment. We support that workflow through the ability to Cancel an Assignment. It's in the overflow menu for the Assignment. That should support the workflow mentioned above where the Dispatcher makes a mistake and wants to cancel or remove the work. It's conceptually similar to your potential solution - but models the assignment with a status = Canceled. Craig
