Hello Carolyn, Along with the links that Dan Mentioned, here is a Learn Lesson that comes with data and step by step instructions on how to split existing parcels: https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/split-parcels-in-a-parcel-fabric/ You can also use that provided data to do a host of other workflows as well using Tasks that come installed with Pro. On the Insert Tab go to Task, click the down arrow then choose Import and Open, then click Parcel Fabric. Then choose Record Driven Workflows. You will need to map a few layers to that Task Item and then you can run through step by step workflows in the parcel fabric. Please reference this documentation that explains how to remap those layers and has other links to documentation on how to use Tasks: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/use-tasks.htm Thanks, Jason Camerano

This issue is a result of different modify tools changing the active tool to the black select arrow filtering the features that can be selected. For example Planarize or Update COGO changes the active tool. When backing out of the tool the active tool reverts back to Explore regardless of what tool the user entered the tool with. Now the user has to go back up to the ribbon and reactivate the select tool to continue their work.

Great! Glad to hear you were able to get it to work. Odd that it still wasn't working on your machine. Sadly I wasn't able to reproduce that issue in house. If it still is an issue you might want to contact Tech Support. Thanks again for letting me know of the issue with the script. -Jason

Hello again! I wasn't able to reproduce the quick completion that you did, however mine did error real quickly. I fixed that error and re-ran the tool and it successfully ran against your sample. I've re-published the tool with the fix https://parcel.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=72066dab7b774ca59b649bf807cc9945 Could you re-download the tool and run it again on both your sample data and your full dataset and let me know the results. Hope that fixes your issue! -Jason

Given the fact that it took 1second to run, it looks like nothing was created. How many lines are in your line feature class? Would you be able to send me a sample of it? jcamerano@esri.com

Hello @LinR I am the one who wrote the Migrate COGO tool. The tool creates a new feature class with the migrated data. Are you saying that feature class does not get created? Can you send some screenshots of the entire tool after it's successful run? Thanks, Jason Camerano

Hey @MattEitrem , I might have created the tool that you need! https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-blog/migrate-arcmap-cogo-to-pro/ba-p/885059 This GP script tool will convert those pesky COGO string values to DOUBLE values. It will create a full brand new feature class during the conversion. None of your existing data will be effected. Let me know if this works for you. -Jason

Discover how Renville County achieved extraordinary milestones in its land records modernization strategy by leveraging new Esri technology. As part of an enterprise GIS deployment, the existing parcel fabric was migrated into the new Parcel Fabric in ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Hub was rolled out to connect citizens with critical business information and GIS solutions. If you save the toolbox with Import Script turned off and Store tool with relative path checked on then just store the script in the same folder as the toolbox and that should work. Then everyone can just point to the location where the toobox is located and run the tool.

So one thing I seemed to have found that stops the issue is to right click on the Script Tool and go to Properties. On the General tab uncheck the box that says Import Script. It will then bring up windows browser. If you can browse to the area where the tool is downloaded you will browse to a .py file. Just click that and click OK to the windows explorer. Then click OK to the overwrite message. Now run the tool again and it should run fine. I'm looking into what importing the script does that's causing issues.

The ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric was released in July 2019 and brings many benefits to organizations that perform land records maintenance. But what happened to my symbology? Why does it not look like my ArcMap Parcel Fabric? This meetup will discuss: 1. Architect of the ArcGIS Parcel Fabric versus the ArcMap Parcel Fabric 2. Pre-upgrade considerations 3. Upgrading an ArcMap Parcel Fabric 4. Post upgrade recommendations 5. Applying symbology to emulate the ArcMap LGIM enabled Parcel Fabric

With ArcGIS Server 10.8 (ArcGIS Pro 2.5) the Parcel Fabric REST API is fully supported. These capabilities can transform the industry... even if you only use ArcGIS Pro to merge and split parcels, you could potentially do it while on vacation, from the other side of the world, from your mobile device... Agenda: 1. What is a REST API? 2. Why do we expose and push parcel fabric capabilities to the Parcel Fabric REST API? 3. How can the Parcel Fabric REST API be used by non esri clients? 4. Considerations: Authentication, Permissions, Licensing, versioning 5. Demos 6. Documentation and resources 7. Resources and documentation Here is a link to the code samples seen in this meetup: https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-14842-meetup-parcel-fabric-rest-api-code-samples

Hey srinu rao I think the time stamps provided might be a little off from the video but I think I know how to answer your questions. 1. To prevent a user from moving form one step to another until they properly attribute a field of a feature or features you can use the Verify step action. Here's the documentation on how to validate in Tasks: Verify step actions—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop 2. In the step where I validate the topology I created a Step Palette Create a palette—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop and one of the steps in the palette was "Validate Extent". I chose a step palette because there are many tools that the user could use to fix the topology errors and I wanted to provide them in the palette. They could click Validate Extent (the first tool in the palette) at any point and it would validate the extent. Hopefully his answers your questions! Thanks, Jason
