Hi Maria- Yes, you will need a valid security certificate to connect to services over SSL. Collector (among other apps) are adhering to stricter security guidelines in this regard. Collector on Windows also enforces a valid certificate. This same restriction will be in place on Android when Collector 17.0.3 is released.

Eric- Thanks for your feedback. We'll look at adding support for Box integration schemes in an upcoming release of Collector. Do you just use Box within the popup as an attribute list, or something you'd also make use of in the custom popup as well? -Doug

Hi Christian- Depends on how you've set up the OS accounts. If the users are all signing into a single OS account, then signing into Collector with different accounts, you'd be able to share the basemap. If each user signs into the OS using a separate account they won't be shared across Collector accounts.

The key is not that your schemes are declared with Apple; app developers must now explicitly list every scheme they support. This is a restriction that Apple has added to their newer controls with increased security in mind. As an aside, we do support a limited set of deep link schemes in Explorer and Collector beyond Esri apps. Do you deep link to apps for use in Collector (or Explorer) other than ones you've developed?

Hi Brian- Yes this is a change on the iOS side. Recent changes to iOS security now require that app developers explicitly declare supported schemes for a given app. Can you share details about the published apps you currently link to as part of your workflows?

Thanks for sharing your workflow and desired behavior. This is something we will consider adding to our development road map for Collector. You can always review existing ideas for Collector here or add an idea for others to comment and vote on to help us prioritize this better.

Hi Joseph- Thanks for reaching out on this, and sharing your workflows. Recent changes to iOS security now requires that app developers explicitly declare supported schemes, and currently Google Maps is not listed in Collector. We'll look into adding this for the coming release.

I suppose you could store a link to the device using a file protocol. I'm and storing that as an attribute on a given feature. Can you share why this is an approach you're considering and why other methods (e.g. attachments) aren't a viable solution?

Johan Ekenstedt is correct in that we will be releasing an updated version of Collector that will include support for richer symbology. Look for beta announcements about this in the fall. It is important to consider the symbology that is needed for mobile field data collection may differ from what you use in the office. Thinking about bright light, screen reflection, and device size when authoring your layer symbology is essential in developing a great user experience for your field staff.

A word of caution - this will allow any applications built with the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android to access the item, not just Collector. We are evaluating how to add support for this to a future release of Collector, but no timeframe to share yet.

Hi Jade- Two things to note here. First, iOS is pretty stringent about requiring each app to declare exactly which URL schemes that are recognized. If a scheme is present that isn't explicitly declared, it's deemed untrusted and will not launch. We currently support a limited set of schemes for our apps. As an aside, Android and Windows do not have this restriction. On he second point, Collector isn't designed to launch from itself. I'd appreciate if you could share some additional information about the workflow you're trying to accomplish. If you prefer you can send an email to collector4arcgis@esri.com.

Hi Jesse- Can you check and see if the missing feature types are displayed within the map viewer when editing? I would expect these lists to be identical. Alternatively, you can share the map with the Collector4ArcGIS user and we can take a look.
