Hi @Anonymous User, A1. There is no limit to the number of admin accounts you can have in ArcGIS Monitor. A2. ArcGIS Monitor 2023 does not currently support custom roles. Please submit an enhancement for this capability on the ArcGIS Monitor Ideas forum. Please include what type of capabilities you're looking to enable/disable with the custom role (that is not covered by the current 3 roles types in Monitor: admin, manager, and viewer). A3. No, we don't typically publish a list of future enhancements because when the functionality will be released can change. Typically in Esri UC technical sessions, we will show upcoming features at the end of the sessions. Hope this helps,

Hi @SteveMcCarthy, > Is it possible to change what attributes are in the notification? Currently, it is not possibe to customize emails sent from notifications. However, we do have the enhancement of being able to "customize notification emails" on the ArcGIS Monitor Dev roadmap. We are working on enabling this in a future release. Hope this helps,

Hi @JasonHansel1, > My question surrounds the Monitor Database. Like previous versions, is a standalone database still required or does a lightweight postgres db come with the Product? ArcGIS Monitor 2023 does NOT include postgreSQL. You will need to obtain your own instance of it. It should be easily available at no cost. For future questions, I would ask that you please post in a new, separate email thread. Instead of commenting on this post. Posting a new, seperate email thread will help other users find answers when they use the Search function in Esri Community. Hope this helps,

Hi @SteveMcCarthy, Please try this workflow: 1. Login into ArcGIS Monitor > Monitoring tab 2. Under the Filter folders - select Storage 3. Select the storage device you want to set an alert on - this will display the overview metrics page for the storage device 4. Select the Metrics tab (in the upper right banner) - this will display the different properties of the storage device 5. Click the ellipsis button (the three dots) for the parameter you want to set the alert on, for example "Storage Capacity Used (GB)" > Edit alert rules 6. The Edit Alert Rules dialog should appear for the selected parameter and you should be able to set an alert Hope this helps,

Hi @davedoesgis, This is an older post, but since it popped up in my feed, I thought I would comment. > I think those DOS scripts were a precursor to the ArcGIS System Monitor. They were written by someone at Esri, but posted on ArcScripts for free. This statement is correct. The older scripts eventually evolved in to an esri Professional Services solution called "ArcGIS System Monitor", and after several years became an official product offering called "ArcGIS Monitor". FYI, the latest iteration of ArcGIS Monitor 2023 was just released. Hope this helps,

Hi @AmaiaMartinez, > the ArcGIS Monitor 2023.0 release is already here but we miss the official documentation of the product (in the early adopter plan we had it but now it seems it is still not published). FYI, the ArcGIS Monitor 2023 help documentation is available here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/latest/get-started/windows/introduction-to-arcgis-monitor.htm Please post future questions in a new, separate thread. Hi @JonJones1, > I should start slowly walking away from all 3 of these; Instant app, Configurable apps, Web Appbuilder, and make new "apps" using Experience Builder? Is this fair to say or am I missing the boat? I wouldn't quite say that. In GIS, there are always multiple ways to solve the same problem. 🙂 So, you can still use the Instant apps (formerly called the Configurable apps) - as you like, depending on the business use case. I do agree that moving forward try and use Experience Builder instead of Web Appbuilder. > should I still be using dashboards or should I be making all new dashboards within Experience Builder as well? Or is that capability just not there yet? ArcGIS Dashboards is the premier option to create dashboards apps IMHO. Experience Builder also offers the ability to create dashboards, but I personally feel ArcGIS Dashboards offers more capabilities. It really just depends on your own preference. Hope this helps,

Thanks for the additional feedback @AYUSHYADAV. Please submit post an enhancement request for the ability to export data metrics into an excel report on the ArcGIS Monitor Ideas forum. In this way, we can gauge interest from the user community. Also, please check your PM for Esri Community,

Hi @JonJones1, > It has always seemed to me that "Instant Apps" and "Configurable Apps" look very similar to the type of products I could produce using Webapp builder. This is a fair statement. Basically "Instant Apps" is the rebranded product name for "Configurable Apps" which is a collection of focused apps - this means typically they would only support 1-3 workflows. Apps built with ArcGIS Web AppBuilder typically offered more configuration options and functionality. > it seems to me that Instant Apps and Configurable Apps were just meant to be methods to get you a "quick start" on making webapps. Was that conclusion correct, or was I missing the intended uses of Instant Apps and Configurable Apps all along? 100% correct. Beginners could start with "Instant Apps" - as they get more experience, they could then start using ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, or now Experience Builder. Hope this helps,

Hi @drorsegal, It might be helpful if you could specify the specific geographic area you're interested in. A quick search in ArcGIS.com yields these results: https://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=ev This might be helpful, EV Charging Stations and U.S. Interstates Hope this helps,

Hi @AYUSHYADAV, Thanks for the answers and details on the data metrics you're interested in. This really helps us better understand use cases. On this comment for the Excel Report, > ... we want to export data metrics into an excel report which will be used to analyze performance trends over time, identify performance issues, and optimize system resources. Additionally, it will help us in tracking changes over time, identify areas for improvement, and share with others. We're hoping that many of these tasks could be performed by configuring the appropriate expression queries in the Analysis tab. Are you wanting to do these tasks exclusively in MS Excel? Thanks,

Hi @AYUSHYADAV, > 1. System Log Parser for IIS - parses IIS logs, Collects geoinfo, usage metrics, and hosted services requests > 3. RDP Counter - Used to monitor active and inactive sessions > 5. WinEvent - parses the counts of errors, critical, and warnings in the Windows Event logs of the target system These three items are not currently available in ArcGIS Monitor 2023. We're in the process of assessing and priortizing which ArcGIS Monitor 10.8.1 add-ins should be incorporated into Monitor 2023. Can you please elaborate on how these add-ins support your business workflows? > 2. EgdbDataStore - used to monitor statistics for the ArcGIS Data Store > 6. Portal - how to monitor storage quota Some of the functionality of the eGDB add-in - specifically registering and monitoring databases and geodatabases are not part of core Monitor 2023 functionality. For your item 6, storage quota - content in an enterprise portal is stored behind the scenes in the ArcGIS Data Store - hence why I grouped items 2 and 6 together. We do have an open enhancement request to add support for registering and monitoring the ArcGIS Data Store. Can you please elaborate: what kind of data metrics are you looking to get about the ArcGIS Data Store - beyond user storage info? > 4. Excel Report - allows us to schedule automated reports to summarize statistics from the MongoDB database In ArcGIS Monitor 2023, the Analysis capability - where you can build your own custom expressions to generate data visualizations is a new workflow for "reporting" in Monitor. Do you specifically want the ability to export data metrics into an Excel Report? Can you please elaborate on your workflow? Also ArcGIS Monitor 2023 does not use Mongo DB as its database, it now uses PostgreSQL. So you could extract the data metrics from PostgreSQL directly. Hope this helps,

Ok, thanks @Lorne. Would it be fair to say, you're looking for a similar behavior to how Indicator elements work in ArcGIS Dashboards? Where its appearance and color may change, depending on the value reported for the Indicator?
