Hi Brian, FYI, we were able to replicate your issue. In fact, we've spent the last week fixing the problem and have released ArcGIS for SharePoint v2.1.1. Learn more about the v2.1.1 release on the Silverlight/WPF Dev blog. Hope this helps,

Hi J, Request for next version: get editing of the sharepoint list into the map itself. Please submit your enhancement request here: ArcGIS Ideas site Just noticed, can I change the scale of the map window by default? I see the extent coords, but that doesnt really make sense as it zooms to the location of the feature for each one. Scale or zoom level would be a better value here. Is there a also a maximum scale set to zoom into, or is that determined by the first basemap layer as in the other APIs? Not 100% sure what you're asking for here. Are you asking for the ability to specify a specific map scale to zoom into in the Map Web Part? The map's zoom scales are determined by the basemap's cached tile levels. So this "is determined by the first basemap layer" is true. Hope this helps,

Hi J, ... I need to transfer the settings from my dev machine to production, and would like to know where the file is that records those settings, so i don't have to redo it on another server or site. I believe you can save the SharePoint site as a template and use that as the basis to create a new SharePoint site. Hope this helps,

Hi Zachary, Does the viewer support the ability to access secure ArcGIS Server Services? Yes. Please see this help topic: Adding secured services Specifically avoiding a proxy page and having the client provide specific credentials? No. The recommended pattern is a proxy page as this is a more secure path. Hope this helps,

Hi Einar, ... It's only the toolbar that does not load, but without the custom toolbar the viewer is of little help. From your posts, it sounds like you have implemented a custom toolbar in the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight application builder and it is not deploying in your web applications correctly. Can you please confirm this is your issue? Does the custom toolbar work outside of the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight application builder in a stand-alone Silverlight API web application? Have you tried to view the HTTP request and response using a standard tool for interrogating HTTP communication such as Fiddler, Silverlight Spy, FireBug (FireFox add-on)? Hope this helps,

@Michal, We need to localize the viewer as well as the sharepoint mapping api to Hebrew... Supporting Hebrew localization is not part of the Silverlight Viewer 1.0 release, nor the ArcGIS for SharePoint 2.1 release. Sorry. We hope to support it in a future release. @Scott, Will I need to build all my sites again, or is there process for upgrading to the final release from beta that does not lose the sites that were built in the beta version? Unfortunately, there is no migration process for sites built on the Silverlight Viewer beta to final release. You will have to recreate your sites in the final release. Hope this helps,

Hi Suja, Is there a way to show the map contents control (legend) within the map web part when the sharepoint page loads? We want it to be always visible rather than asking our user to click the 'Map Content' to see the legend. If you want this functionality enabled for a select number of Map Web Parts in a site collection, then you will need to develop your own custom behavior with the ArcGIS Extensibility SDK for Silverlight 2.4. If you want this functionality enabled for all Map Web Parts in a site collection, then yes, this is possible. You will have to edit the DefaultLayout.xaml file in the ArcGIS Mapping Configuration Files folder. The items that need to be changed in the file are documented in the attached MS Word doc to this post. Please note: This is for ArcGIS for SharePoint 2.1 Final release only. The change will apply to all Map Web Parts in a site collection. With this change, it will not be possible to exclude Map Contents from the run mode of a Map Web Part. Hope this helps,
