Also I would think that it would not work on IOS if there was a problem with communication, but IOS works fine. In testing some more this morning, the only way that I can get the service authentication to come up is if I switch my ArcGIS online account that I am logging into collector with. It will prompt on the first application, but if I switch to another application it will not prompt and none of those services are on in the map. This is only an android problem.

I am currently using Collector For ArcGIS 10.3.3 and have noticed lately that my maps that have secured services are not asking for authentication. ArcGIS online and IOS are working fine with these same web maps. The secure layers are in the layer list, but they are not turned on and you cannot turn them on. These services are secured locally using GIS server security. Any others having this issue?

I am not seeing the cpu usage, but I am seeing really bad performance. This also just happened as i have been using Developers Edition all the way through since beta. Last Friday I started having issues when trying to fire up web app builder dev edition on my development machine. Things that use to open in seconds are now taking minutes and I cannot open an application to edit it through web app builder. The computer comes to a halt and nothing else can take place while it is running. I have tried to reinstall node.js and no enhanced speeds. It is currently not usable and don't know where to start troubleshooting.

Is anyone else seeing the behavior in the measurement widget where the live results of length are not returned while measuring they are only returned when you click. This has always been available and now I cannot get it to show up since 1.2 has been released.

Robert Not sure if this has been asked yet, but is there a way to keep the buffer graphics active so that they can be printed? Thanks

By Trimble Rover are you talking about a Trimble R Series receiver? If so yes we have connected our Trimble R8 RTK rover with our android devices and collected High Accuracy single baseline correction GPS using our statewide VRS network. We cannot connect the R8 to the IPAD though. Just remember to download the Trimble GNSS status app to get the RTCM correction functionality.

As long as the device that you have collector loaded on has an internet connection you should be streaming your data directly back to the office. One thing to remember is publish your feature service in WGS84. As long as collector recognizes your rover then collector understands Trimble rover location.

We have also tested our Trimble R8 survey accurate unit and have found it to collect even better results through collector using the GNSS status app. The R8 does not bluetooth to our IOS devices for some reason though, but android is fine. Have you tried using GNSS status and an R1 with the built in RTX. I would of thought it would of collected everything based on the mock location, and when using GNSS status the GPS should be whatever the connected device is. You could always talk to your vendor, we use Seiler and they are starting to get results for the R1, which doesn't have a lot of testing since it is so new. That is it for the ios platform, with androids you have to go into developer options and changes some settings, but there is a lot of help out there on how to establish mock locations. This should get you up and running, and I have not tried SBAS. We have the free VRS real-time service available through the DOT so we always try to use this. Just wanted everyone to know that the results above are not from SBAS.

I used a real time vrs network correction Iowa DOT provides this service. I connect to the closest base station through Trimbles "GNSS Status" app and it provides that single baseline correction. Definitely should be tested in every situation, but these results made us happy.

These are the results of accuracy checks on 3 known control monuments in our county. The blue dots are the control monuments and the green circles represent 1, 2, and 3' distances around that point. The pink points are the collected GPS coordinates using the R1 and the GNSS status app. One thing to remember is to make sure that your published feature service is in WGS 84 coordinate system, then you can reproject to whatever coordinate system if needed.

I don't have any good document that I can point you in the direction of. However it is fairly simple as the R1 connects via bluetooth, and I have seen it work from our vendors on IOS devices. The trick to getting it to pair is that you hold down the power button on the R1 until it flashes blue, then if you have the "GNSS Status" app download it should show up in devices. Then you just hit the plug and it will start using the R1 as the GPS.

Alberto Yes the Trimble R1 is compatible with collector. It takes over your internal GPS on the mobile device that you are using collector on. We just completed testing with the R1 and collector and we see a reliable submeter solution and we even see sub 2ft because you can use an app developed by Trimble called "GNSS Status" to dial into a real-time base station if one is available and receive that correction.
