All my searches, but now I downloaded the latest version again and the search button does not show up at all. The old one worked fine and is still working against the same services, I was just trying to update applications to the latest version. The error is: Mark Yerington, GISP MAGIC GIS Systems Analyst 3205 CEDAR ST | MUSCATINE, IA 52761 PH: 563.262.3316 | CELL: 563.260.4525

So I downloaded the esearch again since it just wouldn't complete a search with the new widget, and now there is no search button. Why would this be?

Yeah as Tim said you could reproject that LocPoint prior to zooming and showing the info window. Use the reprojectpoint function from above and change the wkid to the one that you mention above instead of 3418 like I have.

I use the above to handle an xy entry. It seems to work well, I just have a combo box that I select which coordinate system that I want State Plane or UTM is all we need locally. If it is UTM I have to use the project to output to UTM from state plane since our basemaps are in State Plane already. Don't know if this can be added to the location widget or not. I just added this to my measure widget so it shows up under the measure results.

Well sorry thats all I had, I have seen issues when mixing coordinate systems. We currently have our own locator service, routing service and use our own custom state plane basemaps registered in ArcGIS online and have no issues with any of these in the Web App Builder. Hope ESRI is able to help you out, this should all be supported through technical support. Are you using esri basemapping or your own local basemaps. To me it sounds like the geocoding service reference data is in a different coordinate system then the basemap... Maybe?

Yes it is losing the this.map as soon as I get into the project function. gsvc.project([inpoint], outSR, function(projPoints) { once I enter this the reference to the map is lost.

I cannot figure this out. I am trying to add a graphic to the map and zoom to it based on a reproject. My location entry is in lat/long and my map is in state plane. I am passed back the coordinates correctly, but cannot do add or centerat. Says they are undefined. I am attaching a word document with what I am using. I have been trying to figure this out since yesterday.

You have to build your own custom locator service. I have a composite locator that will search through addresses and parcels. So I can parse the url with an address or parcel pin. We are also probably going to build in the ability to search for water and electric meters so our Customer service reps can view the maps and zoom to an address that they are viewing in their software that they use. They have the ability to use a url as a link and this is why the parsing of the url is so crucial to our Municipal utility. You can locate any geographic feature that you have a unique field for it does not have to be an address. You just have to specify that in the single field address locator key field. Thanks again Robert. I really like the esearch widget. This will have to be my work around or backup until I can get the esearch to open at start. I really like the tab theme so I am going to try and stick with this. Mark Yerington, GISP MAGIC GIS Systems Analyst 3205 CEDAR ST | MUSCATINE, IA 52761 PH: 563.262.3316 | CELL: 563.260.4525

OK thanks Robert. I have also been parsing the url in the geocoder widget. I can get the url value into the widget, but I need it to run at startup. I thought that find would do what I want, but does not. Would you have any ideas for this? _initGeocoder: function() { this._getGeocoders(this.appConfig.portalUrl).then(lang.hitch(this, function() { var json = this.config.geocoder; json.map = this.map; //added mwy for url parsing in geocoder var urlObject = esri.urlToObject(document.location.href); if (urlObject.query) { if (urlObject.query.search) { prop = urlObject.query.search; } //alert(prop); json.value = prop; var geocoder = new Geocoder(json); this.own(on(geocoder, 'select', lang.hitch(this, "findComplete"))); this.own(on(geocoder, "auto-complete", lang.hitch(this, "onFindResults"))); this.own(on(geocoder, "find-results", lang.hitch(this, "onFindResults"))); html.place(geocoder.domNode, this.domNode); geocoder.startup(); geocoder.focus(); geocoder.find(); geocoder.on("find-results", function(evt) { if(evt.results.results.length == 0){ alert("No Matching Locations"); } }); } else { var geocoder = new Geocoder(json); this.own(on(geocoder, 'select', lang.hitch(this, "findComplete"))); this.own(on(geocoder, "auto-complete", lang.hitch(this, "onFindResults"))); this.own(on(geocoder, "find-results", lang.hitch(this, "onFindResults"))); html.place(geocoder.domNode, this.domNode); geocoder.startup(); } }), lang.hitch(this, function(err) { console.error(err); })); }, Mark Yerington, GISP MAGIC GIS Systems Analyst 3205 CEDAR ST | MUSCATINE, IA 52761 PH: 563.262.3316 | CELL: 563.260.4525
