I'm just shooting from the hip here, but, after making the XY Event Layer from the excel, have you then exported the layer to a permanent feature class? And, Pro is much more sensitive to wonky Excel columns that "worked" in Arc, I just had a ts case on this, here's what they said: "Hi Tom, It looks like there are several issues with the field names in this spreadsheet. But the good news is that once they are all fixed, this works fine in ArcGIS Pro. There are several duplicate field names, those need to be renamed to unique names so that none match. Yes, ArcMap will add a 1 to the end of the field name but this doesn't work in Pro The field "Private Alleles" has a space in it. We don't allow spaces so please add an underscore to that field name I also noticed a percent sign in one of the field names and some other special characters and took all those out. Only use letters and numbers. Remember that the field name must start with a letter. That should take care of it for you. Let me know if you have any questions and how it works once you make these changes."

How are you adding the shared network folder? Drive letter or UNC Path? I've found that drive letter doesn't work, and I always need to add network folders using the UNC path.

In SDE 10.6.1 GDB (SQL 2014 CU11 ENT), create a database. Provision with a point, line, and poly FC using Geography storage type, and add a photo attachment able to the point FC. Enable editor tracking on all, register as versioned but do not check the “Move edits to base” thingy. Then enable archiving on all. Create a child version. In Pro, add the 3 FC’s to a map using the child version connection string, share as web layer, share to PTL 10.5.1, and pick a federated (not hosted) 10.5.1 server, where the SQL GDB is a registered data store using the default version, and where there is also a registered data store using the child version in the connection string. Enable the time zone do hicky, and check export data and sync and feature service. Validate reports no errors, and yes, you are using the child version, and the child version data store. Publish to the root of the server (no folder stuff). In Arc Map 10.5.1, add data from PTL, create local copy for editing. In Pro, GDB Connection properties, note that no versions have been created. In Arc, drop a few points, delete some, etc…sync back to server. Note how the data synced in the map view in Arc, and in a Portal map, and looking at the map service on another Arc Map different computer. All are pointing to the same child version that is driving the service. In Pro, add the same service to a map (from Ptl), download the map. Note that a new child version [username_unixtimestamp] is under the original child version in GDB connection properties. Add some new points, delete some. Hit sync. Happens…really fast. Go to PTL, none of your edits are shown in the service, which is driven by the first child under default. Make more edits. Sync. More edits. Hit remove. Wait for it…….all your edits are now gone! Note that child version [username_unixtimestamp] still exists. I’ve figure this much out: your edits are syncing to the “child of the child” that was created when you hit download map. However, when you remove the offline map, guess what? Your edits are reverted in the child-of-child version! They’re gone, as is the SQLite GDB that gets created when you download the map. I can’t imagine how this would be the expected behavior. Imagine a database with 6 child versions under default (for regions of the country). Each child is pushing its own feature service. 100 users hit each child in Pro, and “Download Map”. There’s now 100 children that now need to be rec’ed and posted to each child.....and why are the edits removed when I remove the offline map? I haven’t tried this with “Moving edits to base”, but that’s a versioning workflow I don’t support, and I can’t find in the documentation where not checking move edits to base results in this behavior. It’s entirely possible I’ve missed a checkbox somewhere, but I’ve checked them all on and off and get the same behavior. Confident this is an operator headspace error and one of you know the correct box to check....

Pro projects create a lot of extra geodatabases it seems, which make navigating around in the project folder when dealing with your non-GIS tasks cumbersome. I wonder if your situation is related to BUG-000099714 Creating a new project from a project template produces two file geodatabases in the project folder.

Not (to my knowledge) any moving, but the previous error seems to suggest that, huh? How, in the log or the XML files, would one discover what folder it's looking for? The current folder is Survey-GRSM_AA_SITE_FORM_2018, which, seems legit to me......?

Kendra Straub FYI. Same problem, added a user name to a pick list, overwrite existing survey that we DO NOT want to delete and republish as new, been looking at this for hours, Windows 10 and 7, no "view" in the survey folder on AGOL. Survey Connect Version 2.7.72. Survey is in its own folder in AGOL, haven't moved things around, using a headless account to publish, and the account owns the survey. Thinking I could just slam the domain changes in via the admin URL, but imagine my surprise, no domain for the string values present in the JSON definition.

BUG-000114001 Running Select Layer by Attribute on a hosted feature layer taken offline in ArcGIS Pro 2.1.2 causes a hang when run on a float or double field type. Which is a show stopper for us: we're required to do everything offline (no "streaming") to the maximum extent possible, and are heavily dependent on select by attributes and definition queries. Same issue when using "Append" tool and you need to do a SQL selection to or from the SQLite GDB. I was so excited when Download Map came out in this version, what a bummer!

So here's a vague use case: When I was "testing" the whole offline map archive-enabled feature class thingy in Pro, was creating a LOT of "Download Map". I just checked, and those 30 or so orphan replicas where there. Orphan because I did something purposely to create the orphan. Promptly forgot about them. Would be nice if I could unregister all 30 of them at once, but I suspect there's python magic that does this.
