Sorry I was expecting your issue was due to an invalid download but it's not that's an issue with the template, if you remove index.html in the URL it will work http://speck.conabio.gob.mx/manglarfotos/text-and-legend-map-storytelling-template-js-master/text-and-legend-map-storyte… pretty bad but the new template will fix that

Hi, I'm not sure what happened with your configuration but if I download the templatefrom GitHub http://bit.ly/1eMMQQH and reapply your configuration from index.html (just copy the line 41 to 79 that declare the defaults variable) it works for me. But you may want to hold on that app, we are releasing tomorrow night in ArcGIS Online a new application that will let you build a Tabbed Story Map with a interactive builder interface (like Map Tour and Map Journal), see https://twitter.com/EsriStoryMaps/status/540358449138114560 and A sneak peek - the new Story Map Series . Check out StoryMaps website Wednesday and you will see the link to the app!

No sorry there is no user interface that let you do that in Map Tour. You will need to recreate a Map Tour from your new webmap, so you will have new application id that will be different from your older MapTour. Note that this is technically doable for developers that knows how to modify the item data to point to the new webmap but I don't know any tool that let you do that easily.

Hi Adam, Sorry I'm clueless. I can't reproduce and I have a slightly different version (11.0.9600.17107). I guess it's a browser settings, maybe a plugin, or maybe a or network issue on your side. I don't think the compatibility view list is the issue but it's possible. To isolate more the issue I would try to setup the same Journal on a different server...

Hi, Thanks for your interest, it is in our roadmap to make shortlist available as a regular template in ArcGIS Online. In the meantime yes you have to deploy it but there is no specific security need as it's only a client side application. You can find some documentation in the PDF readme on GitHub Esri/shortlist-storytelling-template-js · GitHub Some other of our templates have more documentation that you may also find useful Esri/map-journal-storytelling-template-js · GitHub.

You are welcome. You won't need to deploy a Portal, you can continue to use the webmap you have created in ArcGIS Online with the downloadable. You just have to deploy it on a web server...

oh ok. No you would have to download the template and host it yourself Esri/map-tour-storytelling-template-js · GitHub If the webmap open correctly the app should also open correctly. Let me know if increasing the timeout help.

Ok, strange it must be app related then. Yes you can increase the timeout in ArcGIS\Portal\webapps\arcgis#home\webmap\templates\MapTour\app\maptour-config.js See TIMEOUT_VIEWER_LOAD line 40 Mixing data source is fine.
