Feature services (hosted and ArcGIS Server) only support Query. ArcGIS Server Map Services support Find and Identify. These tasks were done to support ArcGIS Destkop and return values that work well in the desktop environment. Query is the task other clients use. thanks, Mike

Can you share the URL to your secured service? Some requirements to check are: Running ArcGIS Server 10.0, sp1. Using ArcGIS Server Authentication, which is token based. No web server authentication. Check your certificate; no self signed certificates. Visit http://<server>/ArcGIS/rest/info; Look at the Token Service URL, is it externally visible? If the services are behind a firewall, you need to enable CORS. This will work from CORS enabled browsers (FireFox, Safari, Chrome, IE 10)Here's a useful post: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/84791-Can-t-add-internal-test-services-to-agol-subscription-(SSL-only) Can you generate a token? https://<server>/ArcGIS/Tokens/gettoken.html Thanks, Mike

Go to the item page of your web application. You should see a "Configure" button. You will then be able to specify a URL to an image to display as a logo over the map. Thanks, Mike

If you have ArcGIS Server, you can publish your own geoprocessing service and access it via a custom app. There is nothing out-of-the-box that will integrate your service. There are, however, some new spatial analysis tools are being added to ArcGIS Online (currently in beta) that are available to organizational accounts. Thanks, Mike

Unfortunately, the editing template only supports editing features that are running as a feature service on ArcGIS Server, or a hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online. I assume that source of the layer in question is not one of these types. Thanks, Mike

I am not seeing this behavior. What browser and version are you using? Do you know how many attribute fields you have? Can you share the URL to the web map you're having problems with? thanks, Mike

Thanks for the feedback. In many cases, updates to the data have to go back to the data provider before you'll see a change in the cache. So the turn around time can be longer... Thanks, Mike

What kind of file are you trying to add? If it's a shapefile, it must be zipped up to include all files that comprise the shapefile. Thanks, Mike

Well, it seems you can rule out a problem with the service since you are able to edit the data when published through ArcGIS Online. Did you set up the proxy when configuring the application locally? The instructions are in the readme file. Thanks, Mike

You are correct. Currently you can only have hosted tiled map services or hosted feature services running on ArcGIS Online. We are working on dynamic mapping ability for ArcGIS Online, but it's not available yet. No release date set yet. Thanks, Mike

How have you configured editing on the feature service? Go to the item page of the feature service and click the Edit button. Scroll down the page to see these options. Enable editing and allow editors to: - Add, update, and delete features - Update feature attributes only - Add features only Thanks, Mike

Exporting all the attachments from feature services is not available at this time. This is something we're working on for the future...perhaps towards the end of the year. Thanks, Mike

What is the source of the layer you want to edit? If you uploaded a shapefile or CSV into the map, or added a Map Notes layer, these layers don't support multiple user editing. Only the owner of the map will be able to edit the data. Others can edit the data but would not be able to save changes back to the original map, instead saving as a new map. The only types of layers that support multi user editing are those based on feature services, either running on ArcGIS Server or hosted as part of an ArcGIS Online subscription. Thanks, Mike

John, This is the workflow I was describing: A member of your organization sign in to <org>.maps.arcgis.com. Because you're shared your PDF, they can find it via search or other means. They visit the page describing the item (item details page) and click Open. There should be no additional sign in required as they are already signed in. Depending on the browser, they may see the option to open or save the file. My comment regarding authentication (sign in) would occur if they are not signed in already. For example, you might choose to copy the URL to the item and put it as a link on another web page, like a company web page. In this case, your website would have to authenticate the user. To make it work from a popup in the same way (it won't display in the popup), the URL to the PDF would have to be an attribute value of your data. As long as the user is signed in, it should work. Alternatively, you could make the item public. Mike
