Can you explain how you are publishing your data? Are you publishing directly from ArcMap? What version of ArcMap? Did you analyze your map before publishing and resolve any problems? Do you see any error messages in ArcMap, you may need to look at the GP tool results. Have you tried creating a local SD file, then uploading it directly to your My Content, then publishing? Can you share your data with us to try? Thanks, Mike

If you're not an administrator, those icons do nothing (and probably should be hidden). If you are, you should see a menu of admin options. Were these working for you before? Try aggressively clearing your browser cache and trying again. Thanks Mike

There is no Export option on the REST endpoint of a feature layer. There is an export Item call as part of the portal. ArcGIS REST API Do you require a programmatic solution? If the user owns the item, they can effectively make the above call in the user interface to create an item from the feature layer. Then, the could download the item if they want it on their computer. Go to the feature layer item, look in the Layers section and click the small arrow next to the layer name for the export options. If the user doesn't own the feature layer item, it may still be possible to export the item if the owner of the feature layer enabled export. On the feature layer, the owner can edit the properties and toggle the export property.

David, How are you inviting people? You can specify the role when you invite people individually, or through a CSV file. Invite and add members—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Mike

David, As far as creating a role that limits credit use, there is a Viewer Template you can use when you create a custom role. A custom role based on this would severely limit credit consumption and thus functionality as well. It may be good to examine what costs credits. A lot of things don't cost many credits, but there are a few that do. Here's a link to the page that lists credit consumtion. ArcGIS | Service Credits Many of the big credit consumers are related to data content. Essentially, areas where Esri licenses data and pays royalties. These include: Data Enrichment Demographics Infographics Geocoding (batch) Building tiles can also cost a lot of credits when building tiles for larger scales, as millions of tiles can get created. So if you limit these privileges in your custom roles, I think you'll find that those users won't consume many credits. Thanks, Mike

Jon, David, I think you want this. On the My Organization tab, click Edit Settings, click Security then Edit Identity Provider. You can set the default role here. This may be a custom role as well. Thanks, Mike

There are four things that control whether or not you need to sign in to your organization in order to view the presentation: The organization allows anonymous access. The organization allows members to share items with the public. The web map is shared publicly All layers in the web map are shared publicly. Only the org admin can control 1 and 2. The author of the map controls 3, and possibly 4 if they own all the layer item. If 1-4 are true, you should be able to access the presentation without signing in. If 2 is false, you will never be able to view your presentation without signing in. If 1 is false, but 2-4 are true, you should be able to access your presentation via the generic ArcGIS Online URL rather than your org URL... For example, given you org URL of xxx.maps.arcgis.com/... simply replace the "xxx.maps" with "www". thanks, Mike

This is a bug that only 50 are shown. We've written it up and will get it fixed. Have you tried overwriting from ArcGIS.com? You can upload the new SD (Service Definition) file (as long as it's not too big) and republish. Mike

If you sign up for a 30 day trial and don't convert the trial into a subscription, the account and data will be deleted at some point after the 30 days has passed if you don't access the account. However, at the end of the 30 days, you will have the option to convert the trial to a free public account. If you sign up for a free public account, your account will not be deleted due to inactivity. Thanks, Mike

The problem is a missing translation file. You can download the fix for this here: https://github.com/Esri/geoform-template-js However, in order to use this fix, you will need to host the application on your own web server. The current plan is to fix this in our next release in December. Thanks, Mike

Michael Bishopp There is no way to perform analysis against your own ArcGIS Server from ArcGIS.com. Portal for ArcGIS is an on premises version of ArcGIS Online installed at your site. Find out more here. At this time, Portal for ArcGIS does not support the analysis tools that are currently available in ArcGIS.com. We are working on this with a release sometime in the first half of 2015. Thanks, Mike

Diego Llamas It isn't a layer limit but a feature limit. If the layers are map image layers, there's no problem. Layers added to the map from csvs and shapefiles are feature layers that store coordinates inside the map. For these, the limit is 1000 features total. Here's a post that further explains these limits. Who can make this  ESRI'S reply simple and easy to understand ? Thanks, Mike

Sorry, my mistake...I was thinking you published as a hosted feature layer. Can you share the URL to your service? Is it publicly accessible? If you connect to the service (not your source data) in ArcMap, can you see values for these fields? You may want to contact Esri Technical Support. This may be able to provide you with more information. THanks, Mike
