It would be nice if users of applications built with the Web App Builder could see the dimensions of features they were creating using the edit widget. There is similar functionality for the measure widget, the length of a line is displayed in the measure widget window. I have users that would like to see how certain sizes of polygons would fit within a parcel. Right now they would have to draw rectangles with the draw tool, but they have to wait until they are drawn to see the size.

I think I figured out the workflow. City staff needs to change the status in the Event Coordination app before it will be visible in the Events Review app. It would still be nice if events submitted through the Event Application app had their status defaulted to "Submitted". I also had to modify the filter widget in the Events Coordination app to allow a drop down choice for the event name - I had to select the "Use Value" radio button for the event name in the Events layer. We had this same problem. There was a special character in the survey name. We took that out and users were able to download it fine.

I've been working on the Community Events series of applications for community event application submission and event coordination. I have found that in order for the Event Review app to work someone needs to go to the CommunityEvents layer and change the STATUS field events that are submitted to "Under Review" because of a filter in the Event Review map on the community events feature layer. I was hoping that the local gov team could make a small change and modify the feature layer to have a default value for the status field when an event application is submitted to be either "Submitted" or "Under Review". I don't want the city staff to have to go to a separate map on AGOL and select the event and change the status just so the event will show up in the Events Review app. I used the ArcGIS Solutions Deployment add-in to create these maps, apps and layers (love it by the way). So I was hoping you could modify the feature layer used by the deployment tool to have the status field default to one of those two settings and I could modify the filter in the map to make them show up in the review app. Thanks, Jeff Small Town GIS

Tim, Thanks for the help. I was able to get the coordinates to match the new coordinate system and any duplicating of the parcels places them in the correct space. One thing that wasn't clear in the help instructions for the add-in was you need to right click on the parcel fabric in the ArcCatalog window in ArcMap, it wouldn't show up in ArcCatalog itself. Thanks, Jeff

Thanks for the reply Neil, but a parcel fabric doesn't allow one to calculate geometry. But according to Tim in his reply below I may be able to do a coordinate inverse.

Thanks for the reply Dan. I used the Project geoprocessing tool in the Data Management toolbox. Apparently you can't project the fabric, but you can project the feature dataset - and I think this is where I am having problems. The fabric draws in the correct place, but the X Y coordinates in the tables are still in the original UTM coordinates, therefore when I duplicate a parcel it goes back to those coordinates.

I am trying to import our state's PLSS GCDB parcel fabric into my editing fabric. I projected the fabric that I downloaded from the state to the coordinate system I use and used the "copy parcel fabric" geoprocessing tool after selecting a township (and all associated points, first divisions, second divisions, etc.) to a new parcel fabric. I then used the "append parcel fabric" tool to get the township into my editing fabric. All of that works fine, but when I try to duplicate a section it duplicates it into the original coordinates from the state's GCDB fabric coordinate system. I look at the X and Y values for the section corner points and they are in the original coordinate system. Does projecting a parcel fabric not update the XY values of those features? Am I doing it wrong? Are we stuck with using the state's coordinate system? Thanks for any input. Jeff Ward Small Town GIS

I am interested in this as well. For example - the PLSS Editing template has first divisions, second divisions, quarter sections, special surveys, townships. How can I add those to the Parcel Editing template? I've tried copying those layers in the PLSS Editing map, but that doesn't put them in the Parcel Fabric group, they are separate layers. Thanks. Two years of crickets. I am commenting on this to move it to the top of feeds. I encounter this every time there is a new release of the LGIM. The most recent Schema Migration Wizard has the December of 2015 release as the newest version of the LGIM so it is a year and a few months behind. As pitched this tool is supposed to be able to take my version of the LGIM and keep whatever modifications I have made and add whatever changes Esri has made. The only way I have had this tool work is if I use the "Schema Only" choice when exporting my LGIM to an XML document - which seems to defeat the purpose. If I do it that way I have to load individual feature classes into the new LGIM which is akin to migrating my data the first time. This has to be easier. Does this tool work for anyone? How are people getting their data to the new releases? Or are people just sticking with the version they first implemented? I have called tech support and they have given me a bug number outlined at the bottom of this thread. But it probably isn't very high on the priority list. In that thread Scott Oppmann mentioned a meetup video recording demonstrating the wizard at minute 22. But that demo doesn't show the process of exporting your geodatabase, whether to use schema only or if you can use the data option. It also doesn't show the import process to the new geodatabase. Are we supposed to just export our old schema, run the wizard and create a new xml doc with the schema that merges our changes with the changes in the new release and then use X-Ray for ArcCatalog to get the data into the new empty geodatabase? None of this is clear in the documentation for the tool or in any of the demonstrations I have seen. And if we are to use X-Ray for ArcCatalog, that add in is not very easy to figure out either. With every release this tool should be updated. The download page for the wizard states that it was updated in July of 2016, but that release of the LGIM isn't included with the wizard. The LGIM is probably the best thing for small local governments with small budgets, but we need to be able to easily update the data model to take advantage of the new maps and apps the Local Gov team is putting together for us. I appreciate the work the Local Gov team does, I have implemented many of the apps they have created with minimal effort. I just can't get this wizard to work.

Thanks Katie for the response. I wasn't able to get any changes to this group to save - I was able to save changes to another group - so I figured there was something wrong with the group itself and I ended up deleting it and creating it again.

Hi, I am attempting to edit some details of a group I just created - primarily add an image for the group's icon. I add the image and save the edit but nothing happens. The browser appears to refresh but no changes are saved. Hitting the save button after this does nothing. If I cancel - none of the changes are saved including any changes to text in the summary or description. Is this a bug? Thanks, Jeff
