Road closures can throw a wrench into our daily routines and travel plans. While email, social media, and government websites are commonly used to share this information, most of us rely on consumer mapping apps to get around. To tackle these challenges, Esri has taken a significant step forward by enhancing its Community Maps Program. Now, ArcGIS users can seamlessly provide road closure data to Apple Maps and TomTom, ensuring that residents and visitors have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips. If you're an ArcGIS user, start contributing road closure data today and help improve the way we navigate our world. @GrantHopkins1 - We have been working with the ArcGIS development team to introduce similar capabilities on all ArcGIS items. You could then see dependencies across items you create in your AGOL organization or ArcGIS Enterprise portal. No firm release date yet, but it's coming.

Rapid needs assessments identify urgent community health needs during emergencies or public health crises. Information gathered during the assessments help health and emergency management agencies make informed decisions, allocate resources, and evaluate community preparedness. Understanding where health needs are the greatest helps direct services, funding, and resources to those i need. If you are a health and human services or emergency management agency who wants to quickly assess community health needs, we believe the Rapid Needs Assessment solution will help. Rapid Needs Assessment will help health and emergency management organizations define household survey areas, identify community needs, and monitor disaster response or health action plan indicators as the assessments occur. Rapid Needs Assessment can be used to define household survey areas, identify community needs, and monitor disaster response or health action plan indicators.

Invasive pests are a constant threat to the world's agricultural trade systems and governments have established inspection programs to combat these threats and protect crop yields. Pest inspection programs also ensure that public agencies comply with regulations and protect public, or private, lands. While routine inspections can reduce the risk of infestation, the sheer volume of trapping sites makes it difficult to inspect every site. If you are a government agency who wants optimize pest detection operations and measure program performance, we believe the Invasive Pest Management solution will help. Invasive Pest Management will help state and local governments develop pest trapping plans, perform field inspections, monitor program metrics, and share program information with stakeholders. Invasive Pest Management can be used to develop pest trapping plans, perform field inspections, monitor program metrics, and share program information.

@VeronicaSarver - I would just echo what @Laura noted above. Over the last 18 months, we have been actively updating ArcGIS Solutions and replacing WAB configurations with new configurable apps. That doesn't necessarily mean every WAB configuration will be an ExB configuration. We evaluate capabilities available across ArcGIS each time we update a solution and pick the most appropriate configurable app. Typically, that means existing WAB configurations are replaced with Instant Apps, ArcGIS Dashboards, or an ExB configuration. The Plans and Drawings solution was updated in late 2023. I'd encourage you to deploy the update and check it out. You will get two new app configurations and associated maps. We did not change the underlying layer so the update will work with your existing content. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

When a disaster overwhelms local and state resources in the United States, a Governor can request assistance from the National Guard. Their missions can augment local resources and provide logistical support during response and recovery efforts. But limited technical capacity in guard units impacts coordination and can hinder the responding unit’s ability to assist effectively. If you are a national guard unit who wants to maintain situational awareness during military operations, we believe the Incident Awareness and Assessment solution will help. Incident Awareness and Assessment will help responding National Guard units assess impacted areas, maintain situational awareness, and enhance decision making. New Incident Awareness and Assessment solution helps guard units maintain situational awareness.

Want to learn more about the ArcGIS Solutions March 2025 release? Over the next few weeks, we will give you a sneak peek of each new solution we are delivering for state and local governments, utilities, defense, and public safety agencies. We will try to answer any questions you might have prior to our release, and you’ll find a host of resources available for each new solution when we release in early March. Sneak Peek #1: Hazard Mitigation Planning Hazard mitigation planning is an essential part of a community’s emergency management cycle. Identifying hazard risks and vulnerabilities helps emergency management agencies develop strategies that reduce the impact of disasters. Mitigation Plans describe the location, extent, and previous occurrences of natural hazards and usually include an extensive set of maps. If you are an emergency management organization who wants to conduct geospatial hazard risk assessments and share hazard mitigation planning information, we believe the Hazard Mitigation Planning solution will help. Hazard Mitigation Planning will help emergency management agencies understand hazards that may impact their community, generate a series of hazard risk maps, share hazard mitigation information with the public, and manage hazard mitigation planning and project feedback. Hazard Mitigation Planning can be used to conduct geospatial hazard risk assessments and share hazard mitigation planning information.

Over the next year, we have several updates in store for the ArcGIS Solutions app. Our goal is to simplify, and enrich, the deployment of ArcGIS Solutions so every user can benefit from their investment in ArcGIS. This February, we’ll bring an exciting new addition to the My Solutions tab: solution diagrams. The new solution diagrams offer a comprehensive view of each ArcGIS item contained in a solution and helps you quickly understand dependencies between items. We look forward to your feedback and ideas you have for the ArcGIS Solutions app in the future. A solution diagram can be accessed from the My Solutions tab.

Thanks for the feedback @Joshua-Young . We are working on a minor update to the Road Closures solution for early 2025 and will likely move to a configuration of the new Web Editor in this update.
Moving to the Web Editor will add support for reoccurring events (copy/paste) you describe in #4. We're also working with the Web Editor team to add support for bulk attribute updates described in #1.
We'll explore updates to the editing form to address #2. Finally, want to think through #3 a bit more. Currently, we are using the date/time to display / age closures in our Community Maps aggregated feed. Reduces need to maintain another attribute that reflects the status of the closure - maintenance of that attribute would worry me.
Thanks again for the note and enhancement requests.

Joshua - Here is a link to an FAQ with more details. It is not a bug, we allow the spatial reference to be set when precise measurements or high-accuracy data are required. Saying that, we'll explore how we might improve the user experience and give users an indication the spatial reference can be set prior to deployment. Scott

@Kara_Shindle - Typically, we find this information is stored in a HHS case management system. You could potentially use Community Health Outreach to inventory service providers and then recommend the closest service provider during the intake/referral process. You could also use that information along with the Social Equity Analysis solution to better understand where services could be better allocated.
