Josh, The MVP Program is in a state of flux and disfunctionality right now so there is no clear info to give you. The way it worked in the past is not the way it will work once the get it figured out. So, is this good news?

We are looking to start testing on Monday of 3 desktops on SP1, but we are planning on leaving SDE at 10 no SP, and so my confusion is it reads like I have to upgrade (SDE regardless) when installing desktop/server (GIS Server), so, can I leave my SDE at 10, no Sp, install SP everywhere else, upgrade all File GDBs, but leave SDE as is and continue to work with ArcMap, etc... Plan to upgrade SDE, but later after we push out SP for Desktop and GIS Services. Wow, long time Russell, how is the GDB team doing, I miss you guys 🙂

All invalid geometry errors are captured as ROW errors. That's why you do not see a Reviewer geometry associated to the error record. I did not realize that all invalids were captured this way. Will need to re inspect my editors work. Thank you Michelle.

Based on this sentence: After you install ArcGIS 10 Service Pack 1, you must upgrade your ArcSDE geodatabase. Instructions on how to upgrade can be found in the Upgrade Geodatabase (Data Management) help topic. If we do a Desktop upgrade, and no SDE upgrade initially, we still upgrade our SDE geodatabases, GDB i get, but SDE as well?

Would be nice to incorporate a Workflow Server extension license as part of an EDN subscription, so it would be a bit easier to sell internally.

We are seeing non simple for our Parcel Lines show up as rows only with no associated geometry feature, very strange... Will continue investigating. Looking forward to SP1. If you can give Daryl a pat on the back for me.

What software was used to capture the parcel layer? Have you run the Check Geometry geoprocessing tool? What happens? Have you run the Repair Geometry geoprocessing tool? What happens? Workstation ArcInfo Repair and Check do not work with SDE Data Layers.

The Verify Cardinality option is basically for 1:1 relationship types. It will report errors when a feature has more than one record related to it. The Verify Cardinality Rules option is based on the advance relationship properties that a user can define in the relationship class. Thank you for your quick response. Thats pretty cool, so it sounds like then less checks to process, but if we go the way I am planning at close of role that the 1:1 check will work nicely with our Parcel Schema 4.0 release, which is looking to have a lot of 1:1.

What is the difference between Verify Cardinality and Verify Relationship Rules, especially since the doc makes it sound like I can run the Rules check in place of the other checks?

You sound like a Tea Party Member, What does the 490 mean, that sounds a bit strange, but you can't fault yourself for getting out the vote, actually that is quite noble and respectable in this circumstance and you are definitely passionate about this topic. I am sure if you could, and Esri allowed it, you would put up a reminder notice on the main page to go vote for the new Python category, perhaps Jim will post a note on the main page. I think that is great. Public Participation on a community forum is best. You weren't meaning to say 420, right? 🙂

I know that there have been issues with data in file geodatabases where the Geo on Geo check returns features that are connected. If the data is in a personal gdb, the results are okay. I've also applied a small tolerance, like 6", when working with file geodatabases to get correct results. Ted, This is the geometry on geometry check using the Spatial Relationship "Relation". When this is selected it will enable the Custom Spatial Relation text box. Hmmmmm, ok, thank you.

The ArcGIS Data Reviewer extension is managed by the Professional Services department at Esri. As you may have noticed, it is a separate install. Therefore, the service pack for Data Reviewer 10 will be separate from the core ArcGIS service pack. The Professional Services team is dependent on core's release of its service pack. We need to verify that the Data Reviewer service pack fixes work with core's service pack fixes. We may not release on the same day, but it will be close. There are approximately 120 defects and enhancements that have been addressed for ArcGIS Data Reviewer 10 Service Pack 1. YES, meikojosan, this is the response I was looking for, so thank you. Are you guys privy to share the enhancements or a list of the defects addressed to whet our appetite, prior to SP release? If you need anyone to test your SP, I am here, 15 minutes away with 4 machines standing by... Long year.
