I am exporting DEM data from ArcSDE SQL Server to File GDB (FGDB). My FGDB's are way smaller in size. Should I be concerned? Why is this? They are both Esri GRID format, correct? For example, Exported ArcSDE ~475GB to 320GB in FGDB. Exported ArcSDE ~80GB to 55GB in FGDB. Thanks!

I am trying to delete all graphics within a polygon, but the following code only removes the first graphic. Any suggestions? fieldGeom is a valid polygon. It removes one point graphic, but then exits loop and does not remove a second point graphic. How do you manage graphics with the ArcGIS JavaScript API? Specifically, I want to delete all graphics that intersect a polygon. How do I do that? I have graphics in Feature Layers. Thanks!

I have same input DEM in a FGDB with a polygon for clip and the same polygon in a feature class for ExtractByPolygon. Clip finishes in 4 seconds while ExtractByPolygon cranks and cranks... CPU 100 percent. It has never finished. I can get ExtractByPolygon to successfully finish with a smaller DEM. Thanks!

What is the best DEM format for geoprocessing speed? This will be a GP Service. For example, I have a GP tool that extracts based on polygon and creates slope and other rasters. I had rasters in an ArcSDE database. I exported to a File GDB... Should I export to a file format? What are the pros/cons to each format? thanks!

I'm confused. I'm migrating 9.3 ADF app to ArcGIS JavaScript ArcGIS 10.2. I'd like to re-use code which is written in VB.NET that does custom ArcObjects with ArcGIS Server Spatial Analyst Extension. It uses 9.3 server contexts. Requirements: ArcGIS JavaScript API Need to execute custom ArcObjects code in SOE Need to capture map images (PNGs) to include in a custom PDF report generated on the server (do this in SOE with printtask?). Need to consume read-only data from MySQL What JavaScript Frameworks (Dojo, Backbone.js) and Microsoft server Frameworks are recommended? Thanks!

In the general build 2500 thread, I have asked some similar questions, and ESRI has replied. As far as I understand, this is a bug and they will fix it. http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/61091-ArcGIS-Explorer-2500-discussion/page3 What are the details for the geocoding bug Esri is fixing with 2500? I have a locator which returns results, places push-pins correctly, but all results zoom to the ocean; when zooming to a result, the map goes to the wrong place. Any suggestions? Is this a problem with 2500? Apparently, the ArcGIS Online location service works fine, but our custom locator services does not. Actually, it is an Esri location service from the Esri Data Appliance. Thanks!

I need to disable the REST ADI, but when I do this, access to CACHE directories are blocked because REST is included in their URLs. How do I change the CACHE directory so it does not include REST so I can keep the REST API disabled AND allow access to the CACHE directory? This ArcGIS Server 10.1. Thanks!

Any update on the Integrated Security Model (ISM) pilot? It was discussed at the Federal UC 2011 by Michael Young; see link below. http://proceedings.esri.com/library/userconf/feduc11/papers/tech/sec-fed11-v3.pdf#page=53&zoom=auto,59,36 Any update or future with row level security solutions for SQL Server? Any plans for the core product? Thanks!
