         How can I declare a feature class like a optional variable? Because I build a model and I want to use it in others projects without some feature class, fara a edita modelul

You can make the feature class a parameter and then make it optional.  Take a look at this resource for guidance.

Apparently, in ArcGis 9.3, if the input is connected to a tool it cannot be declared as optional. Just disconnect it, set it as optional and then connect it again
