Taking a Certification Exam with the Pearson VUE Registration System
So, you've decided you want to achieve an Esri technical certification, and you've selected an exam to validate your skills. Your next move in the process is to register to take the exam. (Friendly Reminder: You must register and sit for the exam before the voucher code expiration date.)
Start by visiting Esri Academy and signing in in the upper right-hand-corner. If you don’t have an ArcGIS account, click Create ArcGIS Account and follow the prompts to make one. After you sign in, navigate to the exam pages to select your exam card and purchase your exam voucher from esri.com.
After you have completed the checkout process, you will receive an email with the link to Pearson VUE. Register with Pearson VUE Registration System Esri :: Pearson VUE. Sign into your account and click View exams and select your exam. Please note the Pearson VUE login is different from your ArcGIS account in Esri Academy. If you do not have a Pearson VUE account, press Create account.
Once you’re logged in, you can proceed to selecting a test center location, date, and time. You have the option to take the exam at one of Pearson VUE’s worldwide Testing Center locations or online, at your home or office, with OnVUE online proctoring.

At a Test Center location prepare your photo ID, what to expect, Personal items, review, and accept policies, as well as schedule your exam appointment. then you will be directed to review and confirm what is in your cart and proceeded to check out.
Online At My Home or Office prepare your computer, testing space, your phone ID, what to expect, review, and accept policies, as well as select proctor language, schedule your exam appointment, then you will be directed to review and confirm what is in your cart and proceeded to check out.
At this time, you can make changes to the appointment location, date, time, and contact information. You can also add another exam. After confirming everything is accurate, select Next, and this will bring you to the payment and billing screen. Here you can enter voucher number, review order, and submit.
Upon completing the checkout process, you will receive an email confirmation from Pearson VUE with your exam information. Remember if you need to reschedule your exam, please reach out to Pearson VUE at Esri :: Pearson VUE.
Note: If you do not sit for your exam and fail to reschedule within 24hours of the exam date, your voucher will be considered redeemed, and you will be marked as a no show.
