Esri Technical Certification Voucher Types
Esri vouchers are only sold at Esri and are the payment mechanism used within the Pearson VUE Registration System, allowing you to create an appointment with the test delivery environment and appointment time of your choice.
Voucher Types and Prefixes
As of January 2025, all Esri exam vouchers will begin to align with a specific exam level. These exam level specific vouchers are used within the Pearson VUE Registration System to create appointments for exams that align with the voucher specific level. The vouchers are valid for 1-year from the purchase date and can be used for the level specific beta or operational exam.
Below is an explanation of each exam voucher's four digit prefix and the matching exam level. Click the links to view the exams on Esri Academy.
Before 2025, only ESCX single use vouchers were sold by Esri. This voucher type can be used for any foundation, associate, or professional level exam:
- Vouchers begin with the ESCX prefix
- Vouchers are single use and valid for 365-days from the date of purchase
- Vouchers can be used for any operational or beta exam available in Esri Academy and are not exam-specific
New Vouchers for the Esri Partner Network
As of October 2024, the Esri Partner Network vouchers will have a new prefix: ESXX. The vouchers are single use, meaning they can only be used one time within the Pearson VUE Registration System. These vouchers can be used to register for any beta or operational exam.
- These vouchers are single use and are valid for a year from the date of issue.
- Platinum Partners, Gold Partners, and Member Partners will receive ESXX vouchers.
- Silver Partners may receive these vouchers during this transition.
Before October 2024, these vouchers are issued to our Esri Business Partners. The vouchers are multiple use, meaning they can be used more than one time by the organization's members within the Pearson VUE Registration System. These vouchers can be used for any beta or operational exam.
- Platinum Vouchers – ESEP (10-Uses) of any exam level, beta or operational.
- Gold Vouchers – ESEG (10-Uses) of any exam level, beta or operational.
- Silver Vouchers – ESES (5-Uses) of any exam level, beta or operational.
Voucher Cost and Purchase Options

- Customers may also purchase exam vouchers from the exam's details webpage by clicking on an exam card, once the page opens, click the ‘purchase’ button in the top banner.
- Customers wishing to use an Esri prepaid agreement such as Advantage Program or Training Pass should contact their Esri Training Consultant to submit the certification exam voucher request on their behalf and apply the prepaid contract for payment.
- Business Partners, visit My Esri > Partner Tools or contact your Esri Customer Service Representative.
- International Distributors, visit My Esri > Staff Tools or contact your Esri Customer Service.
