Submit a Video to Esri’s Teacher Video Challenge
The Esri Education team hosts a Teacher Video Challenge for every concurring school year. This upcoming school year beginning August 1, 2021, formal and informal teachers / educators of youth in the U.S. can submit monthly a 1-minute video entry for the chance to win prizes!
What is the Teacher Video Challenge?
The Teacher Video Challenge (TVC) is designed to showcase the hard work and creativity of U.S. K-12 teachers and educators that utilize ArcGIS Online. The directions are that these impressive individuals create a testimonial video, up to 60 seconds, sharing how they use ArcGIS Online in classroom or youth-serving instruction. Once the video is completed, we ask the individuals to self-nominate their video through our online form.
What Makes Someone Eligible?
The TVC is a great opportunity for exceptional educators to be recognized for their dedication to teaching ArcGIS Online technology (e.g., GeoInquiries, ArcGIS Survey123, ArcGIS Community Analyst). Any current K-12 schoolteacher in the United States, including all districts and territories, using ArcGIS Online technologies or Esri instructional materials is eligible to apply. There is no purchase required to enter or to win.
With the exception of summer months (June-July), educators can apply monthly. Each month’s TVC closes on the last business day of the month at 5:00p.m. (Pacific time). Those submitting videos will need to ensure that their videos do not contain any trademarked or copyrighted content. Additionally, there should be no other identifiable persons in the video other than the teacher submitting the video.
Why Should Someone Apply?
The Teacher Video Challenge is an excellent opportunity for hard working teachers using ArcGIS Online to showcase their impressive usage of Esri technology. Esri offers an award prize monthly (August – May) that totals $500.00, to the teacher that submits the most compelling video demonstrating their important work.
Additionally, each winner will have the opportunity to work with Esri to produce a 3-minute video about their story. These videos are used to showcase a teacher’s use of Esri technology and in turn, will be promoted through the TVC website and Esri Education marketing channels.
